Abstract

La présente invention concerne un gène codant pour un nouveau récepteur humain GnRH (Gonadotropin Releasing Hormone Receptor), ci-après nommé GnRH-R2. Les séquences d'ADN objet de la présente invention peuvent être placées dans des systèmes d'expression en vue d'une production de GnRH-R2 et/ou des lignées cellulaires qui expriment GnRH-R2 et de préférence répondent aux signaux de transduction induits par GnRH. De telles lignées cellulaires peuvent avantageusement être utilisées pour le criblage et l'identification de nouveaux agonistes et antagonistes de GnRH. Selon d'autre aspects de l'invention, L'ADN codant pour GnRH-R', des séquences oligonucléotidiques anti-sens, des produits d'expression de GnRH-R2, des anticorps contre de tels produits peuvent être utilisés dans le cadre de méthodes de diagnostic ou pour la thérapie de désordres associés à une expression anormale de GnRH-R2, par exemple une sur-expression, une sous-expression ou une expression d'un récepteur mutant. Des animaux transgéniques contenant le transgène GnRH-R2 peuvent être utilisés comme modèles d'évaluation d'analogues de GnRH in vivo.
