Abstract

Un procédé connu consiste à déposer en continu sur un non-tissé de fibres discontinues des fibres continues filées sans fin et à aiguilleter par voie humide ce non-tissé composite pour le consolider. Le non-tissé ainsi obtenu est très plat et non volumineux. Le procédé selon la présente invention consiste à former les fibres continues sous forme de fibres à deux constituants ou segmentées, et donc à former un composite constitué du non-tissé à fibres discontinues et d'un non-tissé à fibres continues dont les fibres se présentent sous forme de fibres à deux constituants ou analogues qui sont ultérieurement amenées à rétrécir après la consolidation.
