Abstract

L'invention concerne un appareil de soudage (1) et une installation de soudage comportant une source de courant (2), un dispositif de commande et/ou de réglage (4), un chalumeau de soudage (10) et une conduite d'alimentation (7) reliant ce dernier à une source de gaz (9), conduite dans laquelle est disposée une soupape de commande et/ou de régulation (6) pouvant être pilotée par le dispositif commande et/ou de régulation (4) en fonction d'une valeur théorique d'un volume de gaz à amener jusqu'à un processus de soudage, en fonction d'au moins un paramètre du processus de soudage. Pour déterminer une valeur réelle du volume de gaz, le dispositif de commande et/ou de régulation (4) est développé en fonction d'au moins le paramètre du processus de soudage et/ou de réglages de fonctionnement pratiqués sur l'appareil de soudage (1) et il est prévu un dispositif (27) étalonné à un gaz précis pour mesurer le débit dans le cours de la conduite d'alimentation (7), intégré notamment dans l'appareil de soudage. Le dispositif de commande et/ou de régulation (4) est conçu, pour corriger la valeur théorique et/ou réelle, au moins sur la base de données mémorisées dans le dispositif de commande et/ou de régulation (4) et portant sur les caractéristiques physiques de gaz (8) utilisables en relation avec le gaz utilisé pour l'étalonnage.
