Abstract

A tape dispenser (10) article is provided wherein the tape dispenser (10) article has a curvilinear tape core with side portions (21). The tape core (22) may have a textured surface. Such a textured surface would permit easy removal of the end of the tape without the addition of a release layer. The core (22) is a grid-like honey-comb wherein the effective tape surface area is defined by the size and number of open cells. The effective surface area provides similar release characteristics as a textured surface.
