Access to the battery is provided via a removable door 59 in the extraction and cleansing means. Upon lifting the seat, the switch is closed and the fan 53, which is connected to the switch, is activated to draw air through the extraction and cleansing means.
  • the extraction and cleansing means 51 can be secured to the toilet bowl by numerous means. Conveniently, a rubber sucker 64 may be provided on the underside of the extraction and cleansing means for this purpose. It will be appreciated that in this embodiment, the extraction and cleansing means is less physically and visually intrusive on the toilet bowl and cleaning round the rim is unimpeded by its presence whilst the extraction efficiency of the apparatus is retained.

Abstract

L'invention se rapporte à un W.-C. comportant une cuvette et un siège muni d'une partie supérieure et d'une partie inférieure. Un commutateur basculant, fixé sur la partie supérieure du siège, est connecté aux bornes d'une source d'alimentation électrique. Le commutateur basculant comprend une broche qui roule librement à l'intérieur d'un logement par rapport à l'inclinaison du commutateur. Dès que le commutateur atteint un certain degré d'inclinaison, ce dernier se ferme. Il est ouvert à nouveau si l'inclinaison est inversée. Un mécanisme d'extraction et d'épuration d'air est disposé sur une surface sus-jacente ou adjacente au bord de la cuvette. Ce mécanisme comprend un évent d'entrée à travers lequel l'air est extrait de la cuvette, et un évent de sortie à travers lequel l'air purifié est expulsé. Le mécanisme comprend également un ventilateur électrique et un filtre parfumé. Le ventilateur est connecté aux bornes de sortie du commutateur, lequel ventilateur est donc activé dès que le commutateur est fermé.
