Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil permettant aux utilisateurs de sélectionner certains sous-éléments de pages web et de choisir si les notifications vont être ou non envoyées pour ces sous-éléments de page web. Une notification est envoyée lorsque le sous-élément sélectionné de la page web est modifié d'une manière déterminée par l'utilisateur. L'utilisateur définit une condition de notification pour chaque sous-élément sélectionné de la page web. Lorsque la condition de notification est vraie pour chacun des sous-éléments sélectionnés, le système notifie à l'utilisateur que le sous-élément de la page web qu'il a sélectionné a été modifié de la manière définie par celui-ci. Ainsi, certaines modifications apportées à la page web peuvent empêcher l'envoi de la notification. L'un des modes de réalisation décrit dans la présente invention fragmente la page web en sous-éléments de granularité variable. Les critères de notification comprennent une fréquence à laquelle la page devrait être contrôlée pour les modifications. L'utilisateur reçoit une notification l'informant que la condition de notification a été atteinte pour un sous-élément via un mécanisme de notification sélectionné par l'utilisateur.
