Abstract

Die vorliegende Erfindung bezieht sich auf ein Verfahren zum Betrieb eines Ballon-Dilatationskatheters, der einen Ballonkatheter mit einem aufweitbaren Dilatationsballon aufweist, der von einem Druckerzeuger über eine Druckleitung mit Druckmedium beaufschlagt wird. Um eine schonendere und besser verträgliche Durchführung der Ballon-Dilatation zu ermöglichen, bei dem insbesondere Verletzungen des umgebenden Gewebes vermieden werden, schlägt das erfindungsgemässe Verfahren vor, dass der Dilatationsballon dynamisch mit Druckmedium mit oszillierendem Druck beaufschlagt wird. Gegenstand der Erfindung ist ebenfalls ein Ballon-Dilatationskatheter zur Durchführung dieses Verfahrens.
