Abstract

The invention relates to a method for the identification of interacting proteins. The method is based on the assumption that there must be selective pressure for certain genes to be fused over the course of evolution, so that predictions for potential protein-protein interactions may be made based solely on sequence comparison. In an alternative application for this method, multi-domain protein sequences may be clustered.
