Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de nettoyage de membranes d'ultrafiltration ou de microfiltration normalement immergées, qui permet de réduire le taux de diminution de la perméabilité des membranes, ainsi que la fréquence des nettoyages intensifs de régénération. Dans un aspect de l'invention, on commence à nettoyer les membranes à l'aide d'un nettoyant chimique avant que celles-ci soient très encrassées, et ces nettoyages sont répétés entre 1 et 7 fois par semaine. Le produit de la concentration du nettoyant chimique exprimé comme concentration équivalente de NaOCl, et de la durée de tous les nettoyages se situe entre 2000 minutes x mg/l et 30000 minutes x mg/l par semaine. Lorsqu'il est mis en oeuvre sur place, chaque nettoyage comporte les étapes consistant à: a) arrêter la perméation et toute agitation des membranes; b) laver à contre-courant les membranes à l'aide d'un nettoyant chimique selon des impulsions répétées; et c) reprendre l'agitation, le cas échéant, et la perméation. Les impulsions durent entre 10 et 100 secondes, et l'intervalle entre deux impulsions se situe entre 50 secondes et 6 minutes. Chaque nettoyage comporte généralement de 5 à 20 impulsions. Dans un autre aspect, les nettoyages utilisant un lavage à contre-courant pulsé d'eau chaude sont commencés de façon similaire avant encrassement important des membranes, et sont répétés de deux fois par jour à une fois tous les deux jours.
