Abstract

This device consists of a tube in plastic material holding liquid substances and equipped with a filter tip having an internal sponge, which absorbs the drops of the liquid and allows their evaporation following the sucking by the user. It replaces the cigarettes but it does not damage health, it must not be lit up and it does not cause any smoke, therefore it can be used in any room.

Description Technical Field The present invention relates to the technical sector of the production of devices for the inhalation of substances and particularly of products aimed at replacing cigarettes without damaging health. Background Art People know traditional cigarettes made of a compound of tobacco and externally covered with paper, which are smoked after been lit up, by inhaling the smoke from a tip possibly equipped with a filter. Said cigarettes seriously damage health, since tobacco as well as the paper that is burnt and then taken into the lungs, may cause many respiratory and cardiovascular diseases. In addition, everybody knows that smokers hardly desist from the vice of smoking, because of the physical addiction it entails and because it's impossible to substitute the cigarette tool with another surrogate allowing smokers to alleviate smoke absence .

In order to avoid this problem, other special cigarettes are known, which are used in certain cases even for medicinal or therapeutic purposes. They present inside, in place of tobacco, a mixture of different substances which do not damage health but may be even healthy. Nevertheless, even said products do not prevent smokers from inhaling the external paper holding the mixture, which is cause of diseases and unhealthy as well. Disclosure of invention The present invention principally aims at eliminating the above-mentioned and other drawbacks, supplying a device having the shape of a cigarette, which allows to inhale the vapours of liquid substances, with no need to light or burn something and without damaging health, but on the contrary resulting even healthy.

We reached this result realizing a device with the characteristics described in the separate claims. Other characteristics of this invention are the object of dependent claims . The advantages resulting from the present invention essentially consist of the fact that it permits to get the same psychological effect given by the smoke of a traditional cigarette, without damaging health; that it has no external paper tube to be burnt and inhaled; that it doesn't need to be lit up, so it doesn't cause any fume or smell; that, therefore, it can be used in any room without bothering the other people; that it has no smell; that it may contain liquid substances of different kinds and taste according to the user's needs; that it may contain also medicinal substances that must be inhaled. Reduced to its essential structure and with reference to the figures of the enclosed drawings, a cigarette-shaped device according to the invention, comprises: means to inhale the vapours of a liquid substance with a tube in plastic material formed by a body which holds the liquid (2) and a filter tip (3) equipped inside with a spongy element (8); means to hold a liquid substance, which neither damages health nor leaks outside, with a tube (2) in impermeable material, filled with a definite liquid and insulated by means of a final edge (5) and an element (10) separating it from the spongy element (8) contained m the filter tip; means to allow the evaporation of the liquid, with a filter tip (3), which s formed by a spongy element (8), is equipped with holes (4) for the passage of air and is connected by means of openings (11) with the inside of the tube (2) that holds the liquid to be evaporated.

Conveniently, this device is made of plastic material and has the same size of a cigarette. Conveniently, the tube (2) is separated from the part of the device forming the filter tip (3) , by means of an element (10) equipped with holes (11) that let the liquid seep in small amounts .

Conveniently, the filter tip (3) has on its external side a series of holes (4) that let the air pass through and facilitate the inhalation of the vapours from the liquid. Conveniently, the filter tip (3) has, on its external edge, a film (7) closing it, which is removed whenever the device is used.

Conveniently, the film (7) is made of plastic or metal material and has a tab that facilitates its removal.

Conveniently, the filter tip (3) has an internal spongy element (8) which is able to absorb the drops of liquid coming from the tube (2) and allows their evaporation following the sucking by the user. Conveniently, the filter tip (3) with the spongy element (8; is made of cellulose acetate.

Conveniently, the tube (2) holding the liquid may present, on its edge (5) opposite to the filter tip, a hole (6) through which, during production phase, a definite liquid is put in and which, then, is perfectly sealed.

We're now going to describe the function and use of this device .

Whenever we want to use this device, we must first remove the protective film (7) by acting on its tab (9). After that, we put the filter tip (3) between our lips and start sucking, so taking air into our lungs. This inhalation allows the evaporation of the liquid held in the tube (2), which is seeped up to slowly soak the spongy element (8), so letting the user breathe the vapours generated in this way. According to the kind of liquid put into the device, it's possible to inhale essences of different taste and possibly even medicinal substances.

In practice, the manufacturing details may, however, vary as regards shape, size, position of elements, and type of materials used, but still remain within the range of the idea proposed as a solution and, consequently, within the limits of the protection granted by this patent for invention. Brief description of drawings These and further advantages and characteristics of the present invention can be better understood by every expert in this field by reading the following description and referring to the enclosed drawings, given as practical examples of the invention, but not to be considered restrictive. - Fig. 1 shows a perspective view of the device (1) formed by a filter tip (3), equipped with a series of holes (4) allowing the air to pass through, and by a cylindrical body (2) in plastic material, having a final edge (5); - Fig. 2 shows the same device (1) from the opposite side, with the filter tip (3) equipped with a flap (7) covering it and set to be removed before using the device, and with a hole (6) at the opposite end, through which the liquid is put inside during production phase;

Fig. 3 shows the detail of the filter tip (3) w th the flap (7) slightly open by means of the tab (9), from which the internal sponge (8) can be seen; - Fig. 4 shows in particular the sponge (8) inside the filter

- Fig. 5 finally shows the filter tip (3) from the inside of the tube (2), with an element (10) separating it from the liquid, equipped with a series of holes (11), which let the only essence of the liquid seep and soak the sponge (8) .

Claims

1. Cigarette-shaped device characterised by the fact that it comprises : means to inhale the vapours of a liquid substance with a tube formed by a body which holds the liquid (2) and a filter tip (3) equipped inside with a spongy element (8); means to hold a liquid substance, which neither damages health nor leaks outside, with a tube (2) in impermeable material, filled with a definite liquid and insulated by means of a final edge (5) and an element (10) separating it from the spongy element (8) contained in the filter tip; means to allow the evaporation of the liquid, with a filter tip (3), which is formed by a spongy element (8), is equipped with holes (4) for the passage of air and is connected by means of openings (11) with the inside of the tube (2) that holds the liquid to be evaporated and seeped into the filter;

6. Device according to claims 1 and 5, characterized by the fact that the film (7) is made of plastic or metal material and has a tab that facilitates its removal;

7. Device according to claim 1, characterized by the fact that the filter tip (3) has an internal spongy element (8), made of cellulose acetate, which is able to absorb the drops of liquid coming from the tube (2) and allows their evaporation following the sucking by the user;
