Abstract

The present invention relates to a liquid package formed of paperboard-based liquid packaging laminate comprising on at least one side one or several plastic layers and that comprises a cylindrical or truncated cone-like casing (1) and an end member (3) attached to at least one end of the casing, which member is fitted inside the casing and comprises a skirt (4) turned parallel to the casing, onto which skirt the edge (6) of the casing is folded, whereby the end member (3) is attached to the casing (1) by heat sealing the mentioned overlapping areas (4, 5, 6) together. In accordance with the invention the joint (8) where the skirt (4) of the end member (3) is placed against the inner surface of the casing (1) comprises plastic material (9) on the inside of the package to close the opening between the skirt (4) and the casing (1).
