Abstract

L'invention concerne des méthodes de modélisation et de prévision de variations, servant à déterminer si la variation d'un acide aminé dans un résidu sélectionné de l'acide aminé dans une protéine d'intérêt est susceptible (ou pas) d'avoir un effet sur la protéine (par exemple, d'altérer une activité biologique de la protéine). Ces méthodes peuvent être utilisées pour générer un modèle ou des modèles structurels de toute ou d'une partie de la protéine d'intérêt, évaluer la qualité du modèle structurel, et évaluer les conséquences fonctionnelles potentielles de la variation d'un acide aminé. Ces méthodes permettent d'atteindre ces objectifs en tenant compte de certaines caractéristiques fonctionnelles, structurelles et phylogénétiques de résidus d'acides aminés spécifiques.
