Abstract

L'invention relève de l'enrichissement de concentrés lourds à fractions fines destiné à extraire les minéraux utiles se trouvant à l'état libre et non liés chimiquement, par exemple, d'or ou de platine. Le procédé consiste à calibrer préalablement la masse de minerai, la mélanger avec de l'eau et l'acheminer par pompage dans un limaçon à canaux multiples monté au-dessus d'une grille de calibrage de l'écran de séparation hydraulique et répartir uniformément le mélange hydraulique dans les canaux du limaçon en formant des flux à la surface de la grille. Le calibrage peut s'effectuer en un ou plusieurs stades dans plusieurs écrans de séparation hydrauliques, sur des grilles ayant des orifices de calibrage à diamètres différents afin de 'râper' la masse de minerai lors du passage du flux de pulpe à la surface de la grille. Le produit se formant sous la grille est acheminé depuis le dernier (n-ème) écran de séparation vers une conduite pour pulpe 'à alvéoles', composée de plusieurs 'tubes-alvéoles'. Chacun de ces tubes comporte plusieurs organes de coupure avec des dispositifs de réglage du débit de liquide hydraulique sortant de la conduite pour pulpe. A des fins de traitement d'une masse de minerai possédant un poids spécifique élevé, un vibreur est monté sous un angle α devant chaque organe de coupure sur la conduite pour pulpe à alvéoles, ledit vibreur possédant un vecteur variable de l'impulsion de force ainsi qu'une valeur variable de l'impulsion de force et de la fréquence d'oscillation.
