Furthermore it is known that certain alcoholic organic solvents can be used in hard surface cleaners where they can aid in removing fatty and other soil. However organic solvents are generally considered to present a hazard of being aggressive to polymeric coatings and lacquers.

A large variety of surfactants are disclosed as being suitable, but the products do not contain any organic solvent.
  • O99/36501 discloses a process for preparing hard surface cleaning compositions containing a UV absorber, comprising the step of preparing a premix of the UV absorber in a semipolar solvent or solvent mix in order to facilitate incorporation of the UV absorber into the cleaning composition.

The latter are to be preferred from an environmental point of view, but are more vulnerable to degradation by aqueous floor cleaners.

Abstract

L'invention concerne des compositions nettoyantes pour parquets couchés polymère, qui comprennent : entre 0,5 et 5,0 % d'un ou de plusieurs tensioactifs détergents alkyle-polyglycoside, où le groupe alkyle contient entre 8 et 18 atomes de carbone et le groupe polyglycoside, entre 1 et 4 unités glycoside ; entre 0,5 et 5,0 % d'un éther d'éthylène alkyle glycol où le groupe alkyle contient entre 2 et 5 atomes de carbone, et entre 0,5 et 5,0 % d'un alcanol C2-C4 et ne contient pas de composés ammonium quaternaire. L'éther éthylène glycol est de préférence l'éther de n-butyle et l'alcanol est de préférence de l'isopropanol. L'invention concerne en outre un processus permettant de nettoyer des planchers couchés polymère, qui comprend comme étapes : appliquer une composition selon l'invention sur le plancher ou une solution aqueuse de ladite composition contenant au moins 1 part de la composition pour 200 parts de solution.
