Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé de production de cétal et/ou d'acétal à partir d'oléfines, bénéficiant d'un taux de conversion élevé et d'une grande sélectivité. Le procédé consiste à faire réagir des oléfines ayant au moins une double liaison éthylénique, avec de l'oxygène et un alcool polyhydrique en présence d'un catalyseur. La réaction se fait en présence a) de palladium, b) d'au moins un métal autre que le palladium appartenant aux groupes 8, 9, 10 et 14 du tableau périodique, et c) d'un halogène comme catalyseur. L'invention concerne également un procédé de production d'un cétone et/ou d'un aldéhyde par hydrolyse du cétal et/ou de l'acétal obtenus selon le procédé précité en présence d'un catalyseur acide.
