Abstract

L'invention concerne un produit plat textile qui est constitué de fibres naturelles consolidées par jets de fluide, de préférence de fibres libériennes et en particulier de fibres de chanvre. De façon surprenante, il est possible de traiter par consolidation par jets de fluide des fibres libériennes grossièrement dégommées, présentant une grande proportion de fibres courte, de poussières de fibre et d'autres substances associées aux fibres, pour former des produits plats textiles d'une grande résistance à la déchirure. Ce traitement, qui est, de façon surprenante, bon, résulte du fait qu'en plus de l'entrelacement des fibres habituel, on obtient un feutrage des fibres complémentaires grâce aux fibres courtes et aux poussières de fibre.
