Abstract

The invention relates to a system for generating energy from biomass, comprising the steps of: incinerating and/or gasifying (2; 2") the biomass in an incineration and/or gasification reactor (2;2"), further comprising an electricity generator (32) coupled to the incineration and/or gasification reactor, wherein the reactor is a Torbed reactor (22).
