Abstract

L'invention concerne un procédé et un appareil servant à vérifier les dispositifs de mémoire d'un système informatique afin de générer une liste de noms de modules stockés sur les dispositifs de mémoire et de créer un inventaire des noms de module. Ce procédé d'inventoriage/vérification s'effectue de manière continue de sorte que la liste de noms de module est à jour, à virtuellement n'importe quel instant, avec le statut courant des modules stockés sur les dispositifs de mémoire. La vérification s'effectue au moyen d'un parmi différents procédés dont une vérification constante de noms module stockés par comparaison avec une vérification la précédant immédiatement. Une autre approche consiste à effectuer la vérification en surveillant l'usage de modules chargeables. Une troisième approche consiste à interagir, en créant des entrées de service et des vecteurs avec le logiciel responsable de l'enregistrement de l'ajout, de l'effacement ou de la modification des modules sur le système informatique.
