  • Tag Barriers are found in a variety of shops and are used as a theft prevention measure to detect persons leaving the shop with items which have their tags attached. When such an event occurs, the presence of the tags at or near the barrier is detected by the barrier and an alarm is set off.

Therefore, if movement is detected, the camera can take one or more snapshots in response to a signal from the movement detector, and the control and storage device store and/or transmit these snapshots to the remote server together with an alarm command.

Abstract

L'invention concerne un système de sécurité pouvant être utilisé avec des dispositifs de point de vente. Ce système comprend une caméra respective permettant de visualiser l'emplacement de chacun des dispositifs de point de vente. De plus, une unité de commande locale et des moyens de communications locaux permettent de relier l'unité de commande locale, le(s) dispositif(s) et la ou les caméra(s). Un routeur ou tout autre moyen de transmission permet de relier l'unité de commande locale à un emplacement à distance auquel une ou plusieurs images provenant de la caméra respective sont transmises lorsque des opérations ou des événements prédéterminés surviennent à l'un des dispositifs de point de vente. Généralement, chaque dispositif de point de vente consiste en un tiroir-caisse électronique comprenant un équipement de lecture de carte et les opérations prédéterminées comprennent ou consiste en des opérations sur cartes de crédit ou cartes de débit. Dans un autre mode de réalisation, le dispositif de point de vente peut consister en un guichet automatique bancaire (GAB) et les opérations prédéterminées peuvent comprendre une demande de distribution de billets.
