Abstract

The invention concerns a package characterised in that: a lateral side (1a, 10a) is provided with at least one strip (1a2, 10a1, 10a2) arranged over the whole length of said side and having a profiled opening (1a4, 10a5, 10a6); said strip(s) being extended by one or several end strips (1a6, 10a3, 10a4) having the same length and being provided with one or several cutout(s) (1a7, 10a7, 10a8) arranged opposite the profiled opening(s) (1a4, 10a5, 10a6) when the side (1a, 10a) and its two consecutive strips are folded back; the sides of the receptacle are extended by profiled tabs (1b1-1c1-10b1-10c1) one of which (1b1-10b1) is provided with a profiled opening (10b2) or a cutout oriented and arranged to be exactly juxtaposed with the cutout(s) (1a7) arranged on the folding parts of the receptacle lateral side (1a-10a); the lid (2) is provided on one side (2a) with a curvilinear cutout (2a1-11a1), revealing the profiled opening(s) (1a4) and the cutouts; the reel strip end is freely engaged but with controlled braking in said cutouts and the profiled opening(s) to be seized by the operator.

Description

 DISPENSING PACKAGE OF CORNER PROFILES

The invention relates to the technical sector of packaging and the packaging of corner profiles which are used to cover the angles of partitions, construction panels in general.

The corner profiles are made of extruded plastic. These profiles are made in great length and are wound on themselves like a coil to facilitate their transport and handling. An angle protector for drywall has been developed by the

Applicant in the context of French patent application N. 98.00337.

The problem lay in the conditioning and packaging of this type of product, to allow rapid and unobtrusive distribution for the user according to the latter's needs.

A first possibility consisted in placing the coil of the angle protector wound in a cardboard box with cover and receptacle, the maintenance of the turns of the coil being simply maintained by the interior volume of the packaging. In such a situation, it is necessary for the user to remove the packaging cover, take out the wound reel, grasp the free end of the angle protector and ensure unwinding according to the desired dimensions. The operator must then cut the angle protector to the chosen length and reinstall the coil inside the packaging then closed by the cover. Such packaging is not practical following the various manipulations mentioned above. Furthermore, there was absolutely no visibility of the existence or not of an angle protection coil inside the packaging, ipso facto necessitating the opening of the packaging for verification.

The problem was therefore to design a packaging which allows both the storage of the wound coil of the angle protector but also to allow viewing a free end of the strip intended to be pulled by the user. This implementation had nevertheless to take into account another aspect which is the packaging by stacking of the packages themselves which are transported on pallets or stored in stacks for transport.

One of the aims sought was therefore to design a packaging which allows not only the visualization of the end of the strip of the reel but also that said end is not a hindrance for the storage and stacking of the packages on top of each other. .

Another object of the invention was to design an angle protector dispenser packaging which may be of the type described in French patent N. 98.00397, or of any other configuration and technical characteristic, the main thing being that the angle protector is rolled up. on reel for distribution.

In view of these constraints, the Applicant has carried out numerous searches to design a dispenser packaging which meets the various functions sought. These and other objects will become apparent from the following description.

According to a first characteristic of the invention, the distributor packaging of corner profiles intended for the covering of partition angles, of the type produced in the form of a rectangular cardboard box having a receptacle with four sides designed in one or more strips folded back on themselves, the receptacle being closed by a cover attached to one side and having a peripheral edge fitting onto the receptacle, the coil of a continuous strip forming an angle protector being disposed inside, is remarkable in that than :

a lateral side is arranged with at least one strip established over the entire length of said side and having a profiled opening,

the said strip or strips extending by one or more end strips of the same length and being arranged with one or more cutouts e established opposite the profiled opening during the folding of the side and its consecutive strips,

- the sides of the receptacle are extended by profiled tabs, one of which is arranged with profiled opening or an N-shaped cutout oriented and arranged to be in strict juxtaposition with the profiled opening (s) or the cutout (s) established on the folding parts on the lateral side of the receptacle,

- the cover is arranged on one side with a curvilinear cutout, revealing the profiled opening or openings and the cutouts, during folding, - The end of the reel strip is freely engaged but with controlled braking in said cutouts and the profiled opening (s) to be grasped by the operator.

These characteristics and others will become apparent from the following description.

In order to make the object of the invention more concrete, it is now described in a nonlimiting manner illustrated in the figures of the drawings.

The dispenser packaging is referenced as a whole by (E) and is in the form of a cardboard box of parallelepiped volume having a receptacle (1) with four sides (la - lb - le - ld) which are likely to be covered by a cover (2) itself having a peripheral border on three sides (2a - 2b - 2c). The coil of a continuous strip forming an angle protector is referenced as a whole by (3).

The technical characteristics of said angle protecting strip are of any suitable type and in particular those described in French patent N. 98.00397. This coil (3) is capable of being positioned and centered inside the receptacle of the packaging.

According to the invention, the walls (lb-lc) of the receptacle (1) are extended by profiled tongues (lbl and Ici) established from lateral sides (lb - le). The lateral side (la) is arranged with a first strip (la2) established over the entire length of the side of the packaging by presenting a disc opening (la4). This strip extends into overflow through a connection zone (la5) with an end strip (la6) of length equal to the previous one. This strip (la6) is arranged with an N cut (la7) established opposite the disc opening formed on the preceding strip, during the folding of the side (la) and its two aforementioned consecutive strips. Said strip (la6) is arranged with two projecting zones (la8) which are capable of coming to engage in oblong slots (lel) established in the bottom of the receptacle (le) and along the line of connection and articulation of the panel (la) in its aforementioned intermediate strip Similarly, the lateral side (ld) is arranged with a first strip ldl) established over the entire length of the side of the package with a second end strip (ld2) connected to the strip (ldl) by a connection zone (ld3) and having a projection (ld4) of engagement, after folding with an oblong light (lel) from the bottom. The tabs (lbl and Ici) can be folded down along the connection line of the bottom wall and the sides (la) (ld) so as to be sandwiched between the strips (la2 - la6) and (ldl - ld2) constituting the walls. These said tabs have, at the place or from the place of the oblong lights (lel), cutouts (lbl 1 - Here 1) allowing and facilitating the snap-fastening of the projections (la8) (ld4) formed on the edge end of the bands (la) (ld). The tongue (lbl) located on the side of the disc opening may also have an N cut (lb2) arranged and oriented so as to be in strict juxtaposition with the identical shape (la7) established on the strip (la6) d end of the side (lai). It should be noted that these V-shaped cuts (la7 and lb2), according to a appropriate angulation which may correspond to the profile to be established of the angle protector leaving the packaging, nevertheless reveal the material (la9 - lb3) in the form of tongues, in a triangulated configuration making it possible to ensure a brake function at the exit of the strip end of the coil of the angle protector.

It should also be emphasized that the disc opening (la4) formed on the intermediate strip on the side (la) is capable of surrounding the aforementioned V-shaped cutouts, so as to allow the grasping of the free end of the reel strip.

As a complement, the cover of the packaging is arranged, on its side (2a), capable of coming opposite the side (la) of the packaging, with a curved (2al) contoured cut for example, which lets appear visually the disc opening (la4) and the V-shaped cutouts (la7 - lb2) formed on the panel (la) of the receptacle. In addition, the side (2a) of said cover is arranged in a configuration with two folds (2a2 - 2a3) and having an extra thickness (e). This extra thickness is advantageous in that it makes it possible to define a space allowing a sufficient exit from the end of the strip of the spool to be able to be grasped by the operator, in combination with the additional depth given by the cutting disc defining thus a depth (P) for entering the end of the strip of material. This depth (P) is sufficient to allow good grip of the reel strip by the user. It thus appears that the spool of material of the type constituting the angle profile is wound flat, and when the end of the spool is introduced into the N-shaped slots, the end is shaped free from the coil. According to FIGS. 9 to 19, another embodiment of the dispenser packaging has been illustrated, intended to improve the grip of the protruding strip of the angle protector wound in a reel, without this projecting beyond the periphery of the packaging to facilitate stacking. For this purpose, the packaging as a whole is shaped as above with a receptacle (10), four sides (lOa-lOb-lOc-lOd) and a cover (11) attached to the side (10b) and comprising only two sides in border (l la-l lb). The sides (lOb-lOc) of the receptacle are extended by tabs (lObl-lOcl) intended to be folded down when folded up to be sandwiched between the folded parts of the two other sides (lOa-lOd). For this, the side (10d) is formed of two parts (10dl-10d2) foldable on themselves, while the side (10a) is formed of four parts foldable on themselves (10al-10a2-10a3-10a4) as shown in Figures 10 to 13. The first and second parts (lOal (10a2) are arranged with polygonal openings (square for example) (10a5-10a6) overlapping during folding, while the third and fourth part (10a3 -10a4) are arranged with V-shaped cutouts (10a7-10a8) also overlapping during folding and defining tabs (10a9 - 10a 10) ensuring a brake function at the exit of the end band of the corner protector.

The tab (lObl) on the lateral side (10b) has an opening (10b2) of the same nature as the openings (10a5-10a6) and the side (l ia) of the cover (1 1) has a curvilinear cut (l iai) leaving visually appear the band of the angle protector having crossed said polygonal openings and V-shaped cutouts, as can be seen in FIG. (14), which, taking into account the multiple thicknesses of the folded parts on the side (10a), defines a space (el) facilitating the handling of said strip (Figure 16) while strengthening the rigidity of the packaging.

In addition, we see that between the parts (10a4 -10a3) on the side (10a) is provided a cut tongue (lOal l) extending over the part (10a3) and cooperating with an oblong light (10a 12) established between the parts (10a2 and 10a3) during folding (Figures 12 and 13), in order to retain between them the folded parts on the side (10a).

Similarly, the side (l ia) of the cover (1 1) has a profiled projection (l la2) intended to cooperate with an oblong opening (10a3) established between the bottom of the receptacle and the part (lOal) on the side of the receptacle

(figure 14) to close the packaging.

According to the invention, it can be envisaged to have a marking, on the strip of the reel itself, graduated or materialized by any other sign, making it possible to locate without difficulty the necessary length of exit from the strip of the reel, without that it extends beyond the plane defined by the outer part of the corresponding side of the cover.

Note that the cutouts for the passage of the corner protection strip can be in a very closed V (figure 17) or replaced by narrow quadrangular openings (figure 19). Thus, according to the invention, the various packages including the coils can be stacked without any difficulty, while the coils have their free end, slightly protruding from their packaging to the plane defined by the lateral side of the corresponding cover.

The operator can therefore grasp said end without any difficulty. In addition, the N-shaped slots, at a given angle, combined with the triangular cut-out shapes showing tabs, allow to hold and brake the belt in the best conditions of use.

Without departing from the scope of the invention, it can be envisaged to arrange the dispenser packaging with several arrangements of the same type on one or more sides allowing an exit from the strip in one or more reels. It is in fact conceivable that said packaging is partitioned into different compartments allowing the storage of angle profile coils of various characteristics and / or colors.

It has been described the essential characteristics of the sides of the receptacle and of the cover which are arranged in a specific way to allow the exit and the distribution of coils protecting the angle. The other panels or sides of the packaging are designed in a very conventional manner.

The advantages emerge clearly from the invention. The simplicity of the packaging is emphasized by the specific forms which are the subject of the invention. It does not require any special tools for their development. The positioning of the reel is easy inside the receptacle and its insertion, at its end in the output device, is easy to carry out. The configuration of the N cut is established according to an angulation which is appropriate to the angle profile to be taken out and the technical characteristics of the latter. The dispenser packaging according to the invention allows easy stacking of the various reels. The possible marking established on the strip and / or the sides of the packaging makes handling easy. Incidentally, a device for transversely cutting the spool can protect the angle at the given length. It is also emphasized that it is possible for the user to pull a greater length than necessary from the angle protector strip and, by a reverse re-engagement and reintroduction movement inside the receptacle, re-rewinding is carried out without difficulty. .
