Da bei Biegemaschinen mit einer Gegenhaltevorrichtung der eingangs genannten Art al3e Gleitschienenaufsätze gleichzeitig verfahren, haben diese Biegemaschinen den Nachteil, dass beim Biegen großer Radien der Gleitschienenaufsatz für einen kleineren Radius mit Werkzeugteilen, z. B. einer Spannbacke für den kleinen Radius kollidieren kann, sofern die Radien entsprechend voneinander abweichen. Bislang wird dieses Problem dadurch gelöst, dass anstelle von Gleitschienen Gegenhalte- Rollen verwendet werden. Für anspruchsvolle Biegeaufgaben, wie das Biegen sehr dünnwandiger Rohre, sehr weicher Rohre oder das Biegen sehr kleiner Radien, sind Gegenhalte-Rol len jedoch nicht mehr geeignet. Hier ist der Einsatz von Gleitschienen zwingend erforderlich.
