It is contemplated that such an aircraft testing cable 22 would be utilized to link testing data between an aircraft or component thereof and an aircraft test instrumentation device (symbolically depicted in Figure 1, as aircraft test instrumentation device 20) .

Abstract
L'invention concerne un guide d'information/de positionnement (10) pouvant être placé dans une interface (12) pour instruments de bord qui fonctionne avec au moins une clé de guidage mécanique (14) conçue pour assurer le contact entre le guide et l'interface, cette clé de guidage (14) présentant une orientation spécifique à un type particulier de configuration d'équipement de bord, et ledit guide (10) étant en outre muni d'un élément (16) destiné à entrer en contact avec la clé. Cet élément de contact avec la clé (16) est conçu de manière à pouvoir entrer en contact avec la clé de guidage (14) et à être placé selon diverses orientations angulaires, afin de faciliter le contact avec cette clé de guidage (14). Cet élément de contact avec la clé (16) est par ailleurs muni d'un capteur (18) permettant de détecter le type de configuration d'équipement de bord suite à la détection de l'orientation dudit élément de contact avec la clé, ce capteur permettant par ailleurs de générer un signal électronique une fois identifiée l'orientation dudit élément de contact avec la clé (16).
