Definitions

  • the invention relates to a floor and / or wall covering in the form of a sandwich arrangement.
  • the invention relates to a floor covering which is provided with a predetermined decor, for example with an artificial natural stone decor or another structure which is visible from the outside.
  • Sandwich arrangements of this type are known, for example, in the form of so-called laminate floors.
  • plate-shaped sandwich components made from a wood substitute are provided with a parquet decor and a relatively heavy-duty sealing and covering layer.
  • Each laminate component is prefabricated for installation and is provided with grooves and tongues to connect adjacent laminate components in a form-fitting manner in the installation direction.
  • the production of the laminate panels is now automated, and the structure of the type of wood is comparable to several neighboring parquet strips, incredibly similar.
  • the laying of the laminate components is relatively complex, since on the one hand the subsurface has to be leveled very precisely and on the other hand the flush fitting of the tongue and groove connections and the cutting of the edge components is relatively labor intensive.
  • the congruent circumferential shape of all layers of the lambate component is characteristic of such known sandwich components.
  • the invention has for its object to provide a floor or wall covering with a freely selectable decor that is particularly easy and inexpensive to manufacture and install.
  • the invention provides a floor and / or wall covering in the form of a sandwich arrangement, which is characterized in that the sandwich arrangement has a cover layer made of transparent, preferably clear has clear plastic and at least one support layer, between which a printed image is enclosed, that the support and cover layers have substantially identical dimensions and shapes in the covering direction and are arranged congruently and that the type area of the print image is independent of the surface dimensions of the support and cover layers is selected.
  • This floor and / or wall covering is produced on a solid surface by applying at least one support layer to the surface, then selecting a zone of the exposed support layer surface and providing it with a print image whose type area is smaller than the area of the surface Backing layer is, and that the backing layer carrying the at least one printed image is covered with a covering layer made of transparent, preferably clear plastic, so that the at least one printed image is visible through the transparent, preferably clear plastic top layer.
  • at least one sheet-shaped image carrier carries the printed image applied in ink jet or laser printer technology and is installed between the carrier layer and the top layer.
  • the printed image carrier which is preferably printed in a separate inkjet printing system, is placed on the selected zone of the carrier layer surface, so that the printed image is visible from the free side. Due to the diverse printing options, especially in the inkjet process, there are practically no limits to the decor. Several sheet-shaped image carriers can be put together to form a suitable overall image. This can be floor or wall coverings can be manufactured, which are replicated in a desired natural stone floor structure, but have the great advantage over natural stone floor that they are seamless and have a higher chemical resistance due to a suitable choice of the top layer. The costs of such coverings are drastically reduced compared to laminate flooring and even more so compared to natural parquet or natural stone flooring.
  • the surface structure can be adapted to the requirements on a case-by-case basis by appropriately designing the cast, trowelled or sprayed top layer, which consists of a clear-sighted reaction resin, for example of acrylic ester, polyurethane or epoxy resin.
  • Layer thicknesses of 0.5-2.5 mm are suitable, layer thicknesses of 0.8-1.2 mm, corresponding to a material use of approximately 0.8-1.2 kg / m 2 ', are common.
  • the acrylic ester material offered under the trade name "DISAfloor EP" has proven to be particularly favorable as a top layer.
  • a white adhesive layer made of a reaction resin mixture with 30-50% by weight filler is particularly suitable as the carrier layer.
  • This white adhesive layer can be coated with a clear resin layer made of adhesive.
  • the print image carriers are placed on the clear resin layer before it hardens and are thereby brought to a permanent hardening on the carrier layer.
  • the type area of the printed image can be chosen as desired on the flat covering carrier layer according to size, shape and position.
  • the printed image can also be interrupted by other effects, for example pronounced edge strips or different structures and decorations.
  • a particular advantage of the independence of the size and shape of the printed image from carrier and cover layers is that the image carrier can also be laid over fillet transitions, edges and corners between two carrier layer planes at an angle. In this way, even stairs levels or elevations in the ground or hiking in the visible decor. Corners and recesses are therefore easy to occupy, since support and cover layers can be achieved by simple pouring and / or spatula techniques, while the image carriers can end in front of the space limits without undesirably disturbing the desired aesthetic effect.
  • An alternative embodiment of the invention consists in that the printed image is applied to the laid support layer in situ by ink jet, airbrush or laser printing technology and is completely sealed off from the outside by the plastic cover layer.
