Abstract

Cette invention concerne un procédé de traitement par arc et sous vide d'un fil métallique, qui consiste à nettoyer le fil, à le métalliser et à y appliquer un revêtement polymère de protection, lequel procédé permet d'accroître la production et d'améliorer la qualité du traitement. Cette invention se caractérise en ce que l'on dispose le long du fil un ensemble réparti d'électrodes (4) comportant des panneaux latéraux de refroidissement (12), ainsi que des galets de refroidissement intermédiaires (13). Cette invention se caractérise également en ce que le fil est introduit dans la chambre après avoir traversé une couche d'un liquide visqueux (16). Dans un second mode de réalisation, le fil passe par un ensemble d'électrodes de nettoyage, par des modules (18) de vaporisation par diffusion sous vide, par des électrodes (6) de chauffage ohmique, et par une unité (22) d'application d'un film polymère. Dans un troisième mode de réalisation, le système de transport du fil (3) comprend des tambours de refroidissement (25) contrarotatifs.
