Abstract

Es wird ein Verfahren zur Herstellung von N-Phosphonomethyl iminodiessigsäure durch Umsetzung von Iminodiessigsäure mit phosphoriger Säure und Formaldehyd in wässriger Lösung in Gegenwart einer starken Mineralsäure beschrieben, welches dadurch gekennzeichnet ist, dass man die Reaktion bei einer Temperatur von 110 bis 150 °C unter Schutzgasatmosphäre durchführt. Die Hauptvorteile dieses Verfahrens stellen die hohen Ausbeuten und Reinheiten bezüglich der N-Phosphonomethyliminodiessigsäure sowie der nahezu stöchiometrische Bedarf an Edukten und die damit verbundenen geringeren Abfallmengen dar.
