Definitions

  • the present invention relates to a device and a method for disinfecting, in particular, hands.
  • Disinfectant solutions consisting of an aqueous ethanol solution in which the hands are washed are used by doctors. The solution drips off during washing and takes away substantial amounts of skin fat, which is why these disinfectants are suitable for regreasing, such as Wool wax alcohol included. In addition, solvents and odorants are used.
  • the washing process requires relatively large amounts of disinfectant, the majority of which runs unused.
  • JAP 071780001 (A) and JAP 6-54772 propose the use of sprayed sterilizing agents, but here too, much more liquid is consumed than is necessary for the actual disinfection, so that here too because of liquid running off the hands and being carried along loosened skin oil a regreasing, ie the addition of other chemical substances is required, which can lead to skin irritation or allergic reactions in long-term use.
  • the object of the present invention is therefore to provide a device or a method for disinfecting, in particular hands, in which the consumption of disinfectant can be drastically reduced while maintaining the full sterility effect, in which no amounts of liquid drip from the skin and where additions to the solution used can be dispensed with.

  • the mode of action is as follows. A defined small amount of aerosol is distributed from the nozzle into the chamber space, which is distributed relatively homogeneously and remains in suspension for a sufficiently long time at the low concentration according to the invention, so that the aerosol droplets also reach the back of the hand that is usually held down.

  • the intended effect of keeping the aerosol droplets suspended can be brought about by generating a potential difference between the chamber wall and the nozzle on the one hand and the human body or its hands on the other hand. Abstract
