Abstract

The present invention relates to a device for remotely switching on and off an electric appliance, wherein said device includes a remote control (10 or 17) capable of transmitting coded signals, an input device (2 or 18) capable of receiving the coded signals as well as a decoder (4 or 19). The signal input of said decoder is connected to the output of the input device (2 or 18), while its output is connected to the input of a switching device (9 or 27) through which the electric appliance (16 or 34) is connected to a mains power supply. The switching device (9 or 27) consists of electronic keys having their signal inputs connected to the outputs (7, 8 or 25, 26) of the decoder (4 or 19). In one embodiment, the device further includes an energy accumulator (3) having its signal input connected to the output of the input device (2), while its output is connected to the power input of the decoder (4). In another embodiment, the device further includes a switch (20) for the decoder, having its signal input connected to the output of the input device (18), while its output is connected to the power input of said decoder (19).
