Definitions
- the invention relates to a sprinkling device for sprinkling a predefinable sprinkling surface with at least one water jet according to the preamble of claim 1.
- Irrigation devices are mainly used in the garden area for the comprehensive water supply of plant areas, but can also be used to moisten other areas.
- a generic irrigation device which can be set up in a stationary manner has a nozzle arrangement which can be connected to a water supply and has at least one direction-changing nozzle which, by means of at least one drive device, rotates about a second pivot axis in a first pivot direction about a first pivot axis and about a second pivot axis in a second pivot direction which runs transversely to the first pivot direction is pivotable in a second pivoting range.
- a sprinkling device of this type is known for example from DE 392 082.
- a directionally variable nozzle it has a jet pipe which is fastened to a shaft arranged perpendicular to its longitudinal axis, the shaft being rotatably mounted on a support which swings about an axis perpendicular to the shaft.
- This arrangement enables a double pendulum movement of the jet pipe in two mutually perpendicular directions and thus the irrigation of essentially rectangular irrigation surfaces.
- Another rectangular sprinkler of this type is known from DE 632 688.
- a jet pipe is inserted into a front and backward swinging as well as in a sideways swinging movement in order to moisten a substantially rectangular irrigation surface.
- the width of the sprinkling area in one direction determines, for example, the length of the sprinkling area and the width of the sprinkling area in the transverse direction determines the width of the sprinkling area. It has also already been proposed for such rectangular sprinklers to provide swivel range setting means, with the aid of which the width and the length of the sprinkling area or the associated swivel range widths can be variably set. An example is shown in U.S. Patent 2,746,793.
- Irrigation devices of the generic type are generally robust and operate largely trouble-free. However, they are used to irrigate irrigation areas, the shape of which
- the invention has for its object to provide a generic irrigation device that allows variable adjustment of the shape of the irrigation surface.
- the invention proposes a generic irrigation device with swivel range setting means, which are designed such that the second pivoting range can be set as a function of a pivoting position in the first pivoting range.
- a swivel position is a defined position of the directionally variable nozzle within the first swivel range, which can be an end position, that is to say an end or reversal point of a swivel movement, or a position between the two end positions of the swivel range.
- a swivel range has a swivel range that is determined by the distance between the end positions in the swivel direction, and a swivel range position that can be defined, for example, by the alignment of the center position of the swivel range.
- the invention makes it possible to assign an individual swivel range width and / or length in the transverse direction to each swivel position within the first swivel range, the swivel range positions and / or widths of different swivel positions being able to differ from one another.
- This enables great variation in the shape of the limitation of the irrigation area to be irrigated.
- the width of the second swivel area can be set small or narrow in the area of an end position of the first swivel area, wider in the area of the opposite end position, and intermediate settings that increase in between. It is also possible to irrigate L-shaped or T-shaped irrigation areas with sharp contours throughout the area.
- a narrow swivel range in the second swivel direction and then a significantly wider swivel range in this direction can be set.
- Lateral indentations of an irrigation surface can also be generated within the first swivel range.
- the invention thus enables a large variety of different irrigation surfaces that differ from the rectangular shape. In this way, for example, lawn areas in the garden area can be irrigated with sharp contours, with the exception of beds or the like, or the edge of a irrigation area can be adapted to an optionally curved or stepped course of a path section.
- the first pivoting direction is also referred to as the longitudinal direction and the transverse, in particular perpendicular, second pivoting direction to it is referred to as the transverse direction or width direction to facilitate communication.
- the transverse direction or width direction to facilitate communication.
- Sprinklers according to the invention provide for a liquid to be dispensed from a directionally variable nozzle which preferably emits one or only a few individual jets.
- the nozzle can therefore have a plurality of nozzle openings.
- Dispensing only one jet which can also be composed of several individual nozzles, has the advantage over an equally possible jet fan with a large number of (thinner) individual jets that the amount of liquid concentrated in one jet results in less wind sensitivity of the liquid discharge. This ensures that the irrigation area provided is irrigated with a precise contour, and larger throwing distances and thus larger irrigation areas are also possible.
- the first and the second pivot axis are preferably aligned perpendicular to one another.
- one of the swivel axes assumes a constant, in particular horizontal, position and the direction of the second swivel axis can be tilted about the first swivel axis, or that both swivel axes run essentially horizontally.
- a further development is characterized in that the position and the width of the second swivel range assigned to a swivel position in the longitudinal direction can be set independently of one another. This can be achieved in particular in that the second swivel range has two end positions, the position of which can be adjusted individually in steps or continuously. Alternatively or additionally, it can also be provided that the position and the width of the first swivel range can be adjusted, preferably independently of one another, this being expediently feasible by individually adjusting the corresponding two end positions of the first swivel range. This allows a largely free variability in shape and in certain
- Limits can also be set to the position of the sprinkling surface with respect to the position of the sprinkling device.
- control devices suitable for this purpose can be used to achieve the variable adjustability, for example electrical, electronic and / or computer-aided control devices which interact with suitable drive devices and / or switching devices for the swivel directions.
- the swivel ranges and their assignment to one another can be programmable.
- the swivel range setting means have adjustable stop devices for (mechanical) limitation of the first swiveling range and / or the second swiveling range, wherein the directionally variable nozzle can preferably be driven for swiveling such that switching means for switching the swiveling movement through a stop of the nozzle or of an element which is motion-coupled to the nozzle against a stop, in particular against a stop device the nozzle can be actuated for a next possible pivoting movement.
- the adjustable stop devices therefore allow mechanical presetting of swivel ranges, preferably individually or independently of one another, and thus possibly fully mechanical operation of the entire irrigation device.
- the stop devices can be provided, for example, in the form of an optionally rectangular screen that can be delimited from two or all four sides, within which the direction-changing nozzle can move in two-dimensional swiveled fashion.
- the specification of such an aperture for the pivotability of the nozzle has the advantage, among other things, that the shape of the irrigated surface is at least approximately reflected in the shape of the shape-changing aperture.
- diaphragms with a variable diaphragm opening shape interchangeable diaphragms with respectively predetermined diaphragm opening shapes are also conceivable.
- the stop devices comprise at least one row of stop elements which can be displaced transversely to the first swivel direction or from their end positions and can preferably be fixed in different shift positions, by means of which an end position of the second swivel range can be predetermined for a given swivel position in the first swivel direction is.
- the two are limited on both sides Swivel range provided as a function of the swivel position in the first swivel range two rows of such stop elements adjustable transversely to the first swivel direction.
- stop elements in a row can be provided, where appropriate numbers can be between approximately five and approximately twenty stop elements, in particular seven to ten stop elements.
- the stop elements of at least one row can be displaced relative to one another to a limited extent in the longitudinal direction of the row and, if necessary, can be fixed in the respective shifting position.
- Such stop elements may not only the width and position of the second swivel range can be adjusted, but also the width and / or position of the first swivel range, since the first swivel range can also be limited by a stop element which extends into the movement path of the nozzle in the first swivel range.
- the switching means mentioned for switching between different pivoting movements of the nozzle can be designed such that when the nozzle or an element coupled to the nozzle hits a stop, the direction of rotation is reversed.
- the stop can be, for example, a fixed stop fixed to the housing or an adjustable stop, as can be provided by the stop elements mentioned.
- Switching means can also be designed in such a way that when the nozzle or an element coupled to the nozzle strikes a stop, the pivoting position tion takes place in a pivoting direction.
- an advantageous variant can be realized, in particular, in which the direction-changing nozzle can be driven in such a way that there is no pivoting movement in the first pivoting direction during a pivoting movement between the end positions of the second pivoting range, that is to say in the transverse direction, and that in the case of a reversal of the pivoting direction in the second Swiveling direction, in particular when the nozzle strikes a stop device, the nozzle is gradually advanced in the first swiveling direction by an angular increment.
- This makes it possible to implement an advantageous, meandering irrigation line with an essentially constant irrigation density on the irrigation surface, an irrigation image of approximately parallel strips of the water jet striking the ground being generated on the irrigated surface.
- the switching means can be controlled and / or actuated electromechanically, electromagnetically or according to other principles.
- the switching means of preferred further developments are designed as fully mechanical switching means. This makes the irrigation device, at least with regard to the circuit, independent of electrical power supplies and also robust and long-lasting.
- a drive device for the directionally variable nozzle has at least one drive and preferably at least one gear device for coupling the drive to the has a directionally variable nozzle and that the drive and / or the gear mechanism are designed such that when the resistance to movement of the variable direction nozzle increases, as occurs in particular when the nozzle or an element coupled to the nozzle hits a stop, the gear mechanism is switched and / or the drive from a first switching state to a second switching state, which causes a change in movement of the direction-changing nozzle.
- This advantageous reaction of the drive device for the nozzle to the impingement of the nozzle on an obstacle to movement can in cooperation with if necessary.
- adjustable stop elements or panels or the like ensure a fully mechanical control of the movement of the directional nozzle. Conversions between irrigation areas of different shape and / or position can be implemented without modification in the area of the drive device, simply by changing the shape of the stops for the nozzle to specify a new irrigation area shape.
- an adjustment of the swivel ranges is possible, for example, by providing separate and possibly individually controllable drives for the two swivel movements.
- Electronically controllable, preferably electric drives can be particularly advantageous here, which can be equipped or coupled in particular with position sensors for the current swivel position.
- the drive is a water motor upstream of the nozzle, which is itself driven by the liquid to be blasted. in the
- the scope of the invention also provides structural freedom in the area of the directionally variable nozzle.
- a nozzle that changes direction in several directions can be set up with the help of a ball joint that can flow through.
- the directionally variable nozzle is movably mounted on a housing of the irrigation device relative to this housing.
- a universal joint arrangement which is described in more detail in connection with the embodiment and which has two mutually perpendicular, e.g. can have horizontal swivel axes.
- the arrangement can have a slot-shaped nozzle guide, which is pivoted, for example, about the second pivot axis, the pivoting movement in the first pivoting direction changing the position of the nozzle within the nozzle guide.
- the beam direction is aligned obliquely with respect to both swivel axes.
- a flexible line section is expediently provided at least in sections, which is arranged between a channel section fixed to the housing and the direction-changing nozzle.
- the flexible pipe in particular through a hose section can be formed, can be guided through a non-water-carrying housing part to the nozzle arrangement. In this way, sealing problems of a bearing for a nozzle that can be pivoted in two dimensions in two dimensions are avoided in a simple and reliable manner.

- the irrigation device has a box-shaped plastic housing 2 with approximately half of the top of the housing Upper housing opening 3.
- a nozzle arrangement 4 with a nozzle 5 which can be swiveled in two dimensions and is movable in two dimensions is movably mounted in the housing 2.
- the water supply to the single jet nozzle 5 takes place via a protruding from the rear of the housing
- Hose connection piece 6 The inflowing liquid, generally referred to here as water, flows through a dome-shaped sieve and drives a drive 7 connected downstream of the connection piece 6 in the form of a water motor. From its water-bearing outlet 8, a flexible line piece in the form of a flexible hose section 9 leads through a non-water-bearing part of the housing 2 to the inlet connection 10 of the nozzle 5.
- the water motor 7 drives, via a gear 15, an outer rotor 16 surrounding the water motor and the gear such that the outer rotor 16 is pivoted back and forth about a second pivot axis 17 in a second pivot direction 18 between two end pivot divisions, the water motor or the gear connected to this automatically reverses the pivot direction about the second pivot axis 17 when an end pivot position is reached.
- a guide body 19 which is arranged in the region below the housing opening 3 and is curved in the form of a circular arc in the longitudinal section (FIG. 1) and is pivotably mounted in the housing about the axis 17 by means of pivot bearings 20.
- the guide body 19 has a slot-shaped guide opening 21 running in the longitudinal direction of the guide body, in which the nozzle 5 can be pivoted in a direction parallel to the second swivel axis, ie in the first swivel direction 22, essentially without side play.
- the nozzle 5 executes a swiveling movement about a first swiveling axis 23 fixed to the housing, which runs perpendicular to the second swiveling axis 17 and crosses it in a swiveling center 24. Due to the length of the guide opening 21 and its position in relation to the pivot center 24, a maximum pivot range in the first pivot direction 22 of approximately 90 ° is established.
- the pivotability is achieved in that a nozzle carrier 25 carrying the nozzle 5 is pivotally mounted on the housing by means of two pivot bearings fixed to the housing about the first pivot axis 23.
- the nozzle holder 25 has at the level of the swivel center 24 a top view (Fig. 2) appearing square with rounded corners, surrounding the hose 9 ring 26 and two hinged to the ring by means of further swivel joints 27, upwardly directed support arms 28 which are integral with the Body of the nozzle 5 are formed.
- a third pivot axis is defined by the pivot bearing 27, which axis extends perpendicular to the first pivot axis 23 and can be tilted about this in the first pivot direction or parallel to the guide opening 21.
- the bearing of the nozzle body 5 thus takes place in a universal joint arrangement 29, which enables the nozzle 5, both the lateral pivoting movements of the guide body 19 in the second pivoting direction 18, and the pivoting movements about the first pivot axis 23 in the longitudinal direction of the guide opening 21 to a large extent in an informal manner to follow.
- the connection between the outlet channel 8 of the water motor and the nozzle 5 via the flexible line 9 enables simple sealing. device of the water-carrying sections without the multi-axis bearing of the nozzle carrier 25 or the nozzle 5 would also have to be sealed.
- a gearwheel segment is formed on the planet carrier and engages in a toothed section of a push rod 41.
- the increase in resistance to movement caused by the stop also causes the switching lever 41 articulated on the housing in the region of a joint 40 to be actuated. Its actuation causes a longitudinal movement of a linearly movably guided on the housing 2 by the articulation in the region of the joint 40 Push rod 42 approximately parallel to the second pivot axis 17.
- Each end stop of the nozzle 5 during its movement in the second pivot direction 18 causes such a linear lifting movement of the push rod 42.
- the push rod 42 which is designed as a toothed rack, acts on a manual transmission 45, which can be seen particularly well in FIG. 3 and is part of the switching means of the irrigation device.
- the gearbox 45 has a central gear 46 which can be rotated parallel to the first pivot axis about a horizontal axis 44 and on both sides of the central gear two directional gears 47, 48 which rotate coaxially therewith and which, via a differential gear 49 designed as a bevel gear, engage in inward toothing of the directional gears 47, 48 engages, are forced to rotate in opposite directions.
- the gearbox 45 further comprises a rocker carrier 50 which can be pivoted about the axis 44 and which carries a rocker switch 52 which is spring-loaded by means of a leg spring 51 and can be switched between two spring-stabilized switching positions. Depending on the switching position, the rocker switch 52 either engages in one by means of a suitable engagement tooth
- Direction gear 47 or in the other direction gear 48.
- the rocker carrier 50 is carried along either in the direction of rotation of one directional gear or in the opposite direction of rotation of the other directional gear.
- the rack 42 engages the central gear.
- the central gear is in driving connection with the directional gears via two counter-rotating freewheel devices in such a way that rotation of the central gear e.g. clockwise one directional gear and an opposite one
- Rotation takes the other directional gear.
- This after The principle of a double ratchet arrangement means that a stroke of the rack, for example in the direction of the gearbox 45, moves one directional gear 47 clockwise and with a stroke in the opposite direction (away from the gearbox 45) the other directional gear counterclockwise by an angular amount ( or the other way around) .
- the result of this is that with each reversal of the direction of the pivoting movement about the second pivot axis 17 and the associated lifting movement of the toothed rack 42, the rocker support 50 is gradually pivoted about its axis of rotation 44, a left-hand stop and a right-hand stop giving different directions of rotation.
- the rotary movement of the rocker carrier 50 is thus coupled to the movement of the nozzle 5 via a mechanical coupling with a coupling bolt 55 attached eccentrically to the axis 44 on an output arm 53 and a rod 57 acting eccentrically to the first pivot axis 23 on a coupling bolt 56 on the nozzle ring 26 that a rotation of the rocker support 50 about its axis 44 results in a corresponding stepwise rotation or pivoting of the nozzle 5 about the first pivot axis 23.
- the switchover device is formed in that the leg spring 51 engages on the one hand on the switching rocker 52 articulated on the rocker carrier 50 and on the other hand on the output arm 53 which is connected to the axis 44 and can be pivoted to a limited extent about the axis 44 relative to the rocker carrier 50.
- swivel range setting means which enable both the width and the position of the second swivel range, which runs in the transverse direction 18 of the sprinkler, as a function of the swivel position of the nozzle arrangement in first pivoting range, that is adjustable in the longitudinal direction of the sprinkler arrangement.
- the swivel range setting means comprise adjustable stop devices 60 with stop elements in the form of adjusting slides 61 curved in the shape of a circular arc (FIG. 7).
- FIG. 7 it can be clearly seen that at each of the two longitudinal edges of the upper Housing opening 3 each has a series of, for example, 7 individually and independently adjustable adjusting slides.
- the adjusting slides with their mutually facing, diamond-shaped end faces 62 form the longitudinal edges of an adjustable diaphragm in their shape and act as end stops for the nozzle movement in the transverse direction or the second pivoting direction 18.
- the end stops in rows parallel to the first pivoting direction 22 and in the transverse direction, that is, independently of one another, can be adjusted parallel to the second pivoting direction, by adjusting opposing stop elements 61 for a given pivoting position in the longitudinal direction 22, both the pivoting range width in the transverse direction and, to a limited extent, the position of the pivoting range with respect to, for example, the vertical center plane adjustable reference plane.
- the setting slides can also be set asymmetrically to one another.
- Each adjusting slide 61 (see in particular FIG. 7) has a base body 63 which is curved in the form of a segment of a circle over an angle of approximately 70 °, with a bar 64 projecting radially outwards and having external teeth 65 over a limited angular range of, for example, 30 °.
- a bar 64 projecting radially outwards and having external teeth 65 over a limited angular range of, for example, 30 °.
- a cross-sectionally double-T-shaped, likewise curved guide element 66 which has only part of the length of the base body.
- Each of the adjusting slides is assigned to an individual carrier element in the form of a slide shoe 67 (FIG. 8), which has an arcuate guide side with a guide groove 68 provided for receiving the toothed rack 64.
- a spring tongue 69 held on both sides with one of the external teeth 65 is closed in the sliding shoe. turned tooth 70 provided.
- the spring-loaded latching engagement of the tooth 70 in the external toothing 65 causes on the one hand that the setting slide can be moved relatively easily manually in the longitudinal guide 68 of the slide shoe 67 and that on the other hand a position which has been set once is fixed without any further aids and is in particular when the nozzle stops on the end face 62 also does not change automatically.
- the sliding shoes 67 are lined up parallel to the longitudinal direction of the sprinkler arrangement on a common, round guide rod 71.
- the spaced-apart sliding shoes can be displaced transversely to the direction of displacement 18 of the slide 61, that is to say in the longitudinal direction of the sprinkler arrangement.
- they each have a knurled nut 72, which runs on a threaded rod 73 common to all slide shoes of a row.
- the adjusting slides 61 can also be displaced relative to one another to a limited extent in the longitudinal direction of the row of slides.
- the setting slides are designed to overlap one another in the region of the guide elements 66, as shown in FIG. 9. It can be seen that the mutual overlap of the slides 61 is limited and therefore the relative displaceability of adjacent slides in the longitudinal direction is also limited by the stop. In the embodiment shown, this is possible due to the double-T support shape of the guide elements 66, which are gripped behind by one leg of the adjacent base body 63. The slides can also run on top of each other like roof tiles. The relative adjustability in the longitudinal direction can also be limited by means of interlocking sections of the sliding shoes 67.
- adjustment slides are adjusted so far inwards that they protrude in the longitudinal direction of movement of the nozzle 5 (parallel to axis 17), these adjustment slides can also serve as limit stops in the first pivoting direction, whereby the length of the irrigation area and its position can be adjusted is within limits.
- two rows of slide elements which can be moved linearly in the transverse direction 18 are provided, which can be individually adjusted in a straight line approximately parallel to the upper side of the housing 2 in order to adjust the swiveling diaphragm for the nozzle. Once the position has been set, it can also be locked by means of latching engagement means.
- the sling means in these embodiments interact directly with the nozzle body 5, which is preferably planar on the stop side, in an area that is relatively far away from the pivoting center 24, because of the length of the lever, relatively little counterforce to be exerted by the adjusting slide is sufficient to achieve the To increase the resistance of movement of the nozzle arrangement to such an extent that the switchover described above for reversing the swivel direction and / or further Circuit of the swivel position engages. It is also possible that swivel range adjusting means acting in the manner of stops engage at other points in the swiveling nozzle arrangement, for example in the area of the universal joint closer to the swivel center 24.
- the cover on the top of the housing has the advantage that its shape, once set, also essentially reflects the shape of the associated sprinkling area, so that an adjustment of the sprinkling contour is intuitively largely corrected by an operator (see FIGS. 5 and 6).
