Abstract

Oligomere mit mindestens einer nicht-nukleosidischen Einheit, die eine Säurefunktion mit einem pKa von weniger als 3.0 enthält, eignen sich besonders als Nachweissonden für Nukleinsäuren, da die unspezifischen Wechselwirkungen verglichen mit unmodifizierten Oligomeren herabgesetzt sind und gerade bei niedrigen Salzkonzentrationen des Hybridisierungspuffers eine hohe Signaldynamik und Sensitivität bei niedrigem Leerwertsignal erreicht werden kann. Darüber hinaus eignen sie sich auch als Primer für Verlängerungsreaktionen mit Hilfe von Polymerasen und zur Transfektion.
