Abstract
Description
The invention relates to an edible hollow container, in particular an ice container, according to the preamble of claim 1, a method for producing the hollow container according to the preamble of claim 8, a device for carrying out the method according to the preamble of claim 1 7 and a device for packaging, Storage or transport of the hollow vessels according to the preamble of claim 24.
There are ice cream containers made of waffle material in a pointed cone shape, which are produced by rolling a round, flat waffle around a conical mandrel in a soft state and removing it after hardening. The disadvantage of such ice cream cones is that, with a predetermined maximum opening diameter, which is usually limited in practice by the fact that the ice cream container should still be easy to grip with the lips, it can only hold a relatively small volume of ice.
In contrast, the invention is based on the problem of designing edible hollow vessels in such a way that the volume that can be accommodated in them is large in relation to the at least one dimension of their upper side being small. opening. A method and a device for producing such a hollow vessel are also to be specified.
The invention solves this problem with an object with the features of claim 1 and with a method with the features of claim 8 and a device with the features of claim 1 7.
The inventive division of the walls of the hollow vessel into two broad main walls arranged essentially opposite one another and narrower wall regions connecting them results in a hollow vessel with an elongated upper opening and a relatively large receiving volume, the hollow vessel being easily consumable because of its small width in relation to its length is.

The hollow vessel 1 shown in FIGS. 1 to 3 has wide main walls 2 arranged opposite one another, which are connected on both sides by narrower wall regions 3. On their underside, the walls 2, 3 are connected by a bottom region 4 which is approximately semicircular in cross section. This base shape makes it possible to completely fill the hollow vessel 1 even with relatively tough fillings. The hollow vessel 1 has an elongated top opening 5, which corresponds to an elongated oval in the embodiment shown. In the embodiment shown, the walls 2, 3 of the hollow vessel have areas of greater material thickness formed by folds 6. These give the hollow container 1 stability and make it possible to produce the hollow container 1 by deformation from an originally flat biscuit. In the hollow vessel 1 shown, the two main walls 2 run towards one another essentially conically. The narrow side wall areas 3 have a slightly arcuate course, as a result of which the hollow vessel 1 shown has a substantially semicircular shape in a side view. However, other shapes can also be produced in which the internal and external cross-section tapers downward in a substantially conical manner, such as trapezoidal hollow vessels. Such shapes of the hollow vessels 1 allow them to be stacked one inside the other and thus transported in a space-saving manner and with little risk of breakage.
The main walls of the hollow vessel can also be arranged essentially in parallel, so that with a relatively large volume that can be accommodated by the hollow vessel 1, the width of the hollow vessel, favoring its convenient consumption, remains small even in the region of its opening on the top.
If an essentially oval-shaped biscuit is used to produce the hollow vessel 1 according to the invention, a largely straight upper edge 7 of the hollow vessel 1 can be achieved.
The hollow vessel 1 obtained can preferably have a filling volume of about 40 to 140 ml, which can be filled with e.g. Ice cream corresponds to the usual sales portions.
Furthermore, the hollow vessel 1 can be provided with an impregnation of fat or the like, whereby the crispiness of the waffle biscuits is preserved even when in contact with moist material such as ice cream or when stored in a moist atmosphere, such as a freezer. 4 schematically shows at least partially the tools used to manufacture a hollow vessel 1 according to the invention. The hollow vessel 1 is pressed into a hollow mold 9, which essentially corresponds to the outer contour of the hollow vessel 1, by means of a molding tool 8, which essentially corresponds to the inner contour of the hollow vessel 1. The hollow shape can also consist only of a ring which essentially corresponds in its inner contour to the outer contour of the upper edge of the hollow vessel 1. Wrinkles 6 arising during the deformation in the wall area of the hollow vessel 1 are compressed by the dimensioning of the molding tools 8, 9. The molding tool 8 and the hollow mold 9 are then separated by moving them away from one another again, and the hollow vessel 1 is removed from the mold.
The hollow mold 9 preferably has a greater height than the finished hollow container 1, so that damage or an overhanging of the upper wall areas is avoided when the biscuit is pushed into the hollow mold 9, even if the biscuits are irregularly shaped.
The hollow mold 9 shown has in its inlet area 10 for the biscuit tapered walls 11 towards the interior of the hollow mold 9. This prevents damage or tearing of the biscuit when pressed into the hollow mold 9.
When the biscuit is pressed into the hollow mold, the biscuit is usually stretched in the central area forming the underside of the hollow vessel 1 and at least partially compressed in the upper wall area. It is therefore preferable to use a biscuit for producing the hollow vessel 1, the central region of which, in the undeformed state, has a greater thickness than the usual areas. This reduces the risk of the biscuit tearing when deformed and results in an essentially uniform material thickness for the finished hollow vessel 1 in the entire wall and base area.
For easier demolding of the hollow vessel 1, the hollow mold can be designed to be divisible, preferably divided centrally in its longitudinal direction into two mirror-symmetrical hollow molded parts, which can be separated and removed from one another when the hollow vessel 1 is removed from the mold, thus releasing the hollow vessel 1 to the outside.
The risk of the biscuit tearing during the shaping can also be reduced by the fact that the shaping to the hollow vessel 1 takes place slowly.
Dadurch kann beim späteren Schließen der Hohlform das Waffelblatt 14 nicht eingeklemmt werden.FIGS. 5 to 9d show a device for the automated production of edible hollow vessels and the mode of operation of this device. As can be seen in FIG. 5, the device has a baking device 12, in which dough is sprayed in portions onto a circumferential, heatable baking belt 13 and baked into flat biscuits 14, in the present case waffles. The baking belt 1 3 passes through the engagement area of a transfer device, in which guide arms 16, which rotate in the direction of the arrow 1 5 ′ about an axis 1 5, with removal plates 17, are lowered onto the waffle sheets 14 and are lifted one after the other from the baking belt 13 and along a removal ramp feed a guide 1 8 to a forming device 19. In the forming device 19, several divisible hollow molds 9 rotate about another axis 20 in the direction of the arrow 20 ′, each of which is assigned a molding tool 8. Such a unit of hollow mold 9 and mold 8 can be seen most clearly in FIG. 7. A waffle sheet 14 is placed on the upper side of the hollow mold 9 by the transfer device, where stops attached serve for the exact positioning of the waffle sheet 14. At this point in time, the hollow mold 9 is in a position that is not completely closed. This reduces the risk of the wafer sheet 14 tearing because the entire change in shape does not have to take place in a single step. The hollow mold 9 is designed by an extension 21 and a recess 22 so that there is no opening gap on its underside even in this partially open position. As a result, the wafer sheet 14 cannot be pinched when the mold is closed later.
Fig. 9a zeigt den Ausgangszustand. The sequence of movements during the deformation of the edible hollow vessel 1 is shown in FIGS. 9a to 9d. The respective positions are designated by the letters a to d in FIG. 5. 9a shows the initial state. In FIG. 9b, the molding tool 8 has already been partially lowered in the direction of the arrow 23 and has partially drawn the wafer sheet 14 into the hollow mold 9, which is not completely closed. So that the wafer sheet 14 does not slip, the molding tool 8 is profiled at least in regions on its surface facing the wafer sheet 14, preferably by the underside of the molding tool 8 having a number of knobs (not shown).
When the molding tool 8 has pressed the wafer sheet 14 down into the hollow mold 14, it is completely closed by moving its two parts together in the direction of the two arrows 24, as shown in FIG. 9c. The parts of the hollow mold 9 press the main walls 2 of the hollow vessel 1 against the mold 8, as a result of which the folds 6 form and solidify in this area. 9d shows the subsequent opening of the hollow mold 9 in the direction of the arrows 25, at the same time the molding tool 8 is moved upwards out of the hollow mold 9 and the finished hollow vessel 1 falls out of the hollow mold 9 in the direction of the arrow 26 downwards. The number of hollow molds 9 and molds 8 of the shaping device 19 is preferably selected so that the shaped hollow vessels 1 are largely cooled until they are removed from the mold. In order to ensure that the hollow vessel 1 is released from the molding tool 8, an air nozzle (not shown) is arranged at this position of the shaping device 19 and acts on the hollow vessel 1 and the molding tool 8 with air pressure in the direction of arrow 27. As an alternative or in addition, air nozzles can also be provided on the underside of each molding tool 8.
A transport device shown in detail in FIG. 8 is arranged below the opening hollow mold 9. This has a turning wheel 28 which receives the hollow vessels 1 and, with their openings 5 turned down, delivers them to a transport device 29. This type of turning and depositing the hollow vessels 1 is structurally simple to implement and particularly gentle on the hollow vessels 1.
Since the hollow vessels 1 according to the invention, after their manufacture, tend to deform their main walls 2 towards one another or fold inwards, the transport device 29 has projections 30 protruding into the openings 5 of the hollow vessels, thereby protecting and stabilizing the hollow vessels 1 and in particular their main walls 2 become. The projections 3 are preferably so closely adjacent that the main walls 2 of the hollow vessels 1 follow support each other on the outside. The transport device 29 can simultaneously serve as a packaging and / or storage device. It can be produced as a disposable item by slitting and folding a cardboard box or, for example, can be made of plastic and used several times. On the underside 31, the transport device 29 can have recesses and / or indentations, not shown, which are shaped in such a way that they can receive the bottom regions 4 of the hollow vessels 1 and stabilize them. As a result, the transport device 29 can be used in the manner of an egg carton for stacking the hollow vessels 1.
The device for producing the edible hollow vessels 1 is preferably driven and controlled completely pneumatically.
