Abstract

A weight, preferably a sphere, attached via a first self-releasing hook to a first steel cable falls down under gravity, within a first of a pair of guiding vertical transport shafts. When the weight falls, it unwinds the first steel cable on one part of a two-part drum while winding a second cable on the other part of the drum. The two-part drum is connected via a gearbox to a flywheel generator. When the weight reaches ground level, the gear is made neutral, the generator continues to spin, and the hook separates the weight from the cable. The hook stays suspended while the weight moves towards a change-over-chamber. A plunger arrangement pushes the weight through the change-over-chamber into a water filled vertical return shaft, without allowing the transport shafts to flood. The weight floats to the water surface along the return shaft. The weight is picked up by a second self-releasing hook on the second steel cable also wrapped around the two-part drum and delivered to the first guiding transport shaft. The cycle is made to repeat with the cable with the first hook rewinding on the drum. The process continually generates electricity.

Description

ELECTRIC POWER GENERATING WITH THE HELP OF "GRAVITY" GRAWA-POWER
Gra-stands_for_gravit2iwa-stands_for_water
This here is a new invention, a different approach to power-generating. People will jump to use environmentsave electricity provided this powersource is readily available.Gravity is everywhere and so is water. Important is also you can use salt-sweet-dirty-or brake-wate , it does not malte much difference ...and you don't destroy the water. My invention could be used on land or at sea,where-ever it is more convenient,no poϊution what-so-ever.The ideal powersource for future generations.A dream becomes realit ...clean air for everybody. Gravity is a terrific force, but there must be a force in opposition, I use water. Water nas the incuild capacity to float a suDmarine to the surface...some with the weig t of 3000 tonnes ...so , some force. My__invention
A weight, in my case a sphere... I-50 tonnes...attached via hook to an steelcable, falls down under load-whatever distance.
Under load means there is no free fall. The steelcable is wrapped around a two-part-drum( Darrel or wheel )and this drum is connected via gearbox to an flywheel-generator.After release of the drumbra e the gear jumps into generating mode and the weight starts the journey down anby unwinding the steelcable on one part of the drum and winding on on the other part of the drum. The empty hook comes up in the same time the sphere falls down. All the way down electricity is generated. Short on arrival at groundlevel the drumbrake is activated , the gear jumps into neutral and electricity is generated with kinetic energy... so, there is no holdup with power-generating.
On arrival the hook...being a selfreleasing hook, seperates the weight from the transportcable and the weight beinga sphere ,rolls on a slightly sloping ground, owards the sealing door inside the change-over-pressure- chamber. The empty hook stajs suspended, waiting for the next weight to come down ....End_of_the_generating_ ode_!
There is a £h&ng -oyeτ-_p∑ess τe^ located deep down at the bottom- end of the two transportshafts. Two , becouse in one the weight descends and in the other the empty hook goes up.The task of this chamber is: to deliver the weight into the open water without the water flooding the transportshafts. There is immense waterpressure deep down. To overcome this pressure... there is a plunger. The plunger is a mechanical device, similar to an syringe. The backe trance is sealed off after the sphere enters the cr.amoer , the plur.~er does that. cont.page 2.)

The chamber is slightly bigger in diameter than the sphere, so the sphere rolls freely but still restrained. The sealing door to the water opens, and the water rushes in. he in-and outside waterpressure equals. The plunger, being a oildriven ram, moves forward anby pushing the sphere into the open water. The sphere floats up towards the surface.Still, the plunger moves forward towards the door anby removing nearly all the incoming water. he door closes. The rest of the water is pumped out. The plunger moves back to its startposition...waiting for the next load to come down.
At that point it must be said: The weight falls of course much faster than it ever could float up,so there must be a compromise in that re¬ spect. ny nu oer of spheres could be employed to float up,while one comes down.
This floating up is guided inside a steelcage becouse there must be a pinpoint landing, so the sphere can be easy be picked up.On arrival at the surface of the water the sphere is plucked from the water and delivered to the dropzone so it can fall again.
S2j.i& _2Y§I I_2i≥iyii._i§iA weight falls down with terrific force and water brings that weight up again...what can be more simple than that? ϊ.}£E--_§r.S_§.?Y§S_£i§i5§i

Electricity is generated with the help of "Gravity.". A sphere ...being the weight, falls down under load and generates a terrific force. This force is communicated via drum...gearbox...to an fly-wheel-generator.All the way down electricity is generated. This down can be 100...1000 meter. The weight itself can be I...1000 tonnes, it all depends on the strenght of the steelcable or other suitable means. Whatever weight, water would bring that weight up again. Ttiere is a similarity with an transportsystem on a coalmine... the difference is the motor. here 's in a coalmine the motor drives the system...in my case the weight itself drives the motor. And this motor is a generator. So, electricity is generated...all the way down.
The sphere is not just any weight. There is a formular" " :The weight of a body, regardless of shape or form must be less than the weight of the volume of water it displaces and that body floats, or in this case rises to the surface. The sphere-shape is of course suitable be- cont.page 3.)
Figure imgf000005_0001
Grawa;;Dθweri couse a sphere rolls easy for transport and the immense waterpressure in great depht is distributed equal on all sides.
There is also a build-in pin. This pin assures easy pickup and secure transport. counterweight assures the pin is on top at all floating time. The material of construction could be steel covered with plastic or any other material,so long the formular "If" is observed. There is even a possibility a pipe welded close on both sides could be used. Qi i5_2-i2_?-}£--} !.
The hook is an attachment connecting the steelcable to the sphere. This hook is a selfreleasing type. On descent the weight itself, becouse of scissoraction, forces the holding clamps together.Secure descent is assured. On arrival at groundlevel the weight is off and the hook re¬ leases its grip...becouse of springaction or electrical winch.

Deep down at the end of the two transportshafts there is this special chamber.Th.e purpose of this chamber is to move the sphere into the open water without the water flooding the transportshafts . The sphere enters this chamber and the plunger closes the backentrance. The front-sealing-door opens and the plunger pushes the sphere into the open water. The plunger removes the rest of the water and moves back to ist startoffpositionrafter the frontdoor sloses of course. Now the ready for the next sphere to come down. chamber is υlaim_5.ι2£"_2iHn-S!r.i
1 call it plunger, but could be a sealing body whatever shape. In this case a piston with two rubbery rings driven via hydraulic ram inside a pipe, being the cylinder . B. works similar to an syringe...pushing the water without leaking. The task of course is: to push the sphere into the open water without the water pouring in.
Figure imgf000005_0002
Becouse of the formular "N",the sphere floats up, towards the surface.
This floating up is very much slower than falling down, therefore, it depends on the distance, there might be any number. spheres floating up in the same time one falls down. t.i§i5_2-Ll_--,ϊ-2_ i2^Iϋ l§-Σ§ilι?i
There are two girders. hile the drum is at standstill-four girder- trolleys run along these girders. Towing, braking and guiding is done with four electro winches...coordinated. The empty hook is guided towards the emerging sphere. Pickup ^s ffiaάe and the sphere is delivered to the drop- zone. The dru orake is released and a new power-generating mode is in progress.
