Abstract

The invention relates to pipe parts included in a weldable piping system, such as curves (2), angles, T joints (3), reducing parts (4) etc. The ends of the pipe parts are provided with angular marks (5, 8), such as 90° and 45° graduated lines, thus facilitating the fitting of the pipes and the pipe parts into each other.

Description

Pipe system for pipe parts
This invention relates to pipe parts, such as curves, angles, T joints, reducing parts, etc., included in a weldable piping system.
The manufacture of pipings generally involves the problem of fitting pipes and pipe parts into corners while aligning the pipes with a water level, followed by joining the pipes by welding.
The object of the invention is to eliminate the shortcoming mentioned above. The piping system in accordance with the invention is characterised by the fact that the ends of the pipe parts are provided with angular marks, such as 90° or 45° graduated lines. Narious embodiments of the invention are described in the dependent claims of the set of claims.
The angular marks of the invention facilitate the fitting of pipes and pipe parts. The need for water levels is almost totally eliminated. Installation becomes appreciably more rapid and degree errors between pipes and pipe parts are minimised. The plumber will have both his hands free to direct and weld the parts to be mounted. The indication of a curve break also speeds up pipe installation, because unnecessary measurements and marks are thus eliminated.
The invention is described below by means of examples and with reference to the accompanying drawings, of which
figure 1 illustrates a straight pipe provided with line marks, figure 2 shows a pipe curve, figure 3 shows a T joint, figure 4 shows a pipe cone, and figure 5 shows the end of a pipe called "black pipe".
The ends of pipe 1 and the pipe parts, curve 2, T joint 3 and pipe reduction 4 are provided with painted, 90° and 45° graduated angular marks. The conical surface 7 of the end of the "black pipe" 6 in figure 5 is provided with marks 8, which are milled lines. The 90° graduated marks are painted more visible and longer than the 45° graduated marks.
Curve 2 in figure 2 is equipped with a break line 9 encircling the curve at 45°.
The pipe parts may be otherwise graduated, as for instance 15°, 30°, 45°, 60° etc., or even at smaller intervals, depending on the purpose of use of the pipes and the pipe parts.

Claims

Claims
1. Pipe parts included in a weldable piping system, such as curves (2), angles, T joints (3), reducing parts (4) etc., characterised in that the ends of the pipe parts are provided with angular marks (5, 8), such as 90°, 45° graduated lines.
2. Piping system as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that the marks (5) of the stainless steel pipe parts are painted elongated marks.
3. Piping system as claimed in claim 1, characterised in that in the conical surface of pipes called "black pipes" the marks are for instance milled elongated lines (8).
4. Piping system as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the 90° graduated marks are stronger and longer than the 45° graduated marks.
5. Piping system as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the marks (5) of a straight pipe (1) included in the piping system consist of lines extending from one end to another.
6. Piping system as claimed in any of the preceding claims, characterised in that the 90° curve (2) is equipped with a break line (9) encircling the curve at 45°.
