  • An opening device which comprises a drain opening preperforated through the material and a detachable puU tab attached on top of the opening Uquid- and gas- tightly, has several advantages since it is easy to use, it can be attached to the packaging material beforehand and it is inexpensive in costs. However, in the packaging of Uquid filling materials, special attention should be paid to an efficient isolation of the untreated edge of the packaging laminate exposed in the perforation from the fiUing agent, since otherwise the filling agent is absorbed to the fibrous support layer impairing the tightness, strength and appearance of the laminate.
