Abstract
A package and delivery system (10) for diagnostic devices in which the package maintains the integrity of diagnostic reagents until use and facilitates delivery of the diagnostic reagents to a test subject is disclosed.
Claims
1. A package and delivery system for delivery of diagnostic reagents to a test subject comprising: foldable, flexible support means, the support means having, in an integral elongated linear relationship, a first portion contiguous to an intermediate second portion, and the intermediate second portion being contiguous to a third portion; assay means, the assay means having a first portion and a second portion in a predetermined spaced-apart relationship, the first portion of the assay means being adhesively, releasably secured in overlying relation upon the second portion of the support means and in underlying relation to the first portion of the support means, the second portion of the assay means being adhesively, releasably secured in overlying relation upon the second portion of the support means and in underlying relation to the third portion of the support means; and articulation means made from a foldable and flexible material connecting the first and second portions of the assay means , wherein the support means stores and protects the assay means and prevents the premature exposure of the adhesive, used to releasably secure the assay means to the support means and the articulation means to the assay means, prior to the combination and delivery of the diagnostic reagents to a test subjec .
2. A package and delivery system for delivery of diagnostic reagents to a test subject comprising: foldable, flexible elongated support means;
assay means, the assay means having a first portion and a second portion in a predetermined spaced-apart relationship, said first portion and said second portion, each being adhesively, releasably secured in overlying relation upon the support means, and the first portion and the second portion being in overlying stackable relation to one another when said support means is folded onto itself with the assay means there-in-between; and separation means made from a foldable, flexible elongated material, said separation means being sandwiched inbetween and adhesively releasably secured to the first and second portions of the assay means when said first portion and said second portion are in overlying stackable relation to one another, wherein the support means and separation means, in combination, store and protect the assay means and prevents the premature exposure of the adhesive, used to releasably secure the assay means to the support means and the separation means to the assay means, prior to the combination and delivery of the diagnostic reagents to a test subject.

A package and delivery system comprising: foldable, flexible support means, the support means having, in an integral elongated linear relationship, a first portion contiguous to an intermediate second portion and the intermediate second portion being contiguous to a third portion; assay means, the assay means having a first portion and a second portion in a predetermined spaced-apart relationship, the first portion of the assay means being adhesively, releasably secured in overlying relation upon the second
portion of the support means and in underlying relation to the first and third portions of the support means, the second portion of the assay means being adhesively, releasably secured in overlying relation upon the second portion of the support means ; and articulation means integral to the third portion of the support means for facilitating delivery and application of the assay means, wherein the support means stores and protects the assay means and prevents the premature exposure of the adhesive, used to releasably secure the assay means to the support means and the articulation means to the assay means, prior to the combination and delivery of the diagnostic reagents to a test subject .
