Abstract
Description
Nasale Beatmungsmaske und Beatmungsschlauch Nasal breathing mask and breathing tube
The invention relates to a nasal ventilation mask according to the preamble of claim 1 and to a ventilation hose for respiratory masks according to the preamble of claim 16.
Nasal ventilation masks are used to supply breathing air for therapeutic purposes, for example for the therapy of sleep disorders with apnea.
Conventional respiratory masks consist of a partially elastic, anatomically shaped mask part and a mask holding part, to which the holding straps of the respiratory mask are attached to press the mask part against the nose. The mask part is pressed against the nose by the straps around the back of the head. The ventilation air can be supplied through a ventilation hose via a hose connection on the mask holding part. The ventilation air comes from an overpressure generating device.
Due to the direct attachment of the breathing tube to the mask holding part, the breathing tube lies in the facial area of the head and in the area of movement of the arms. Especially in the therapy of lying patients, such as in the therapy of sleep disorders, this leads to restricted freedom of movement for the patient. This is particularly negative in the therapy of patients with sleep disorders, since the patients are tense in the sleep phase due to the restricted mobility and therefore cannot fall asleep. in the In extreme cases, patients with sleep disorders and restless sleep may experience violent movements during sleep, causing the ventilation hose to kink or tear off.
Successful ventilation therapy is therefore only insufficiently possible with conventional ventilation masks.
The object on which the invention is based is to create a nasal respiratory mask of the generic type which ensures a secure hold and perfect function even with restless users and which restricts the freedom of movement of the user as little as possible without having to use technically complex means.
This object is achieved according to the invention with a ventilation mask according to claim 1 or with a ventilation hose according to claim 16.
Advantageous refinements of the respiratory mask according to the invention are given in claims 2 to 15 and advantageous refinements of the respiratory tube according to the invention are given in claims 17 and 18.
The nasal ventilation mask according to the invention with the characterizing features of claim 1 offers the advantage of greater freedom of movement and at the same time reducing the risk of kinking and tearing off of the ventilation tube, since the tube connection for the ventilation tube from the facial area of the head and from the area of movement of the arms to the top of the head is moved away. The freedom of movement is further increased by the ventilation air supply via a rotatable hose connection. The greater freedom of movement is achieved by moving the hose connection away from the mask holding part. This installation is achieved by an elongated tube that extends from the nose upwards when the respirator mask is on. The unit mask holding part - elongated tube can also be made in one piece.
A face shield holder is connected to the elongated tube, on which in turn a face shield is molded. The front shield holder and the front shield together with a belt strap form the holder for the nasal respiratory mask.
Advantageously, in addition to the headband-like arrangement of the front shield and the belt strap, another belt strap can advantageously pass over the head and be connected to the headband-like belt strap at the back of the head.
With eyelets in the front shield, the length of the straps can be adjusted to different head sizes. If flexible straps are used, they can adapt over a certain range without further adjustment in the eyelets.
In the case of violently moving patients, it can be advantageous in addition to the holder described above to guide a second belt strap attached to the mask holding part in a conventional manner around the back of the head, which thereby additionally presses the nasal breathing mask onto the nose and thus additionally fixes it.
The position of the end shield relative to the mask part or the mask holding part can be varied by moving the end shield relative to the elongated tube anatomical conditions are adjusted. It is particularly advantageous if the front shield holder and the front shield are firmly connected to one another and the front shield holder can be displaced vertically on the elongated tube, wherein the mask part and the variable angle tube can be designed as stops. The front shield holder and the front shield can also be made in one piece.
The vertical relative adjustment can also be carried out by vertically adjusting the position of the front shield holder and the front shield by shifting relative to one another, the front shield holder being able to be guided and fastened in a known manner in a guide rail of the front shield or the front shield in a rail of the front shield holder.
At the upper end of the elongated tube there is an angled tube which can be rotated against the elongated tube. The angle tube is expediently designed as a knee tube. However, an embodiment is also possible in which the angle between the vertical elongate tube and the variable angle tube is adjustable by means of a partially elastic bellows in the manner of a kinkable drinking straw or by a knee joint.
At the end of the variable angle tube, which is angled against the elongated tube, there is a hose connection for receiving a ventilation tube, which can also be rotated against the angle tube to further increase the freedom of movement.
To adapt to the anatomy of the patient, the ventilation mask is provided with a mask part made of elastic and deformable material, which is detachably connected to the rest of the ventilation mask unit via a mask holding part. This connection is made by snapping a molded bead of the elastic and deformable mask part into an annular recess in the mask holding part. As a result of a simple exchange and cleaning option of the mask part, a hygienic alternating use of a nasal ventilation mask by several patients is possible. Elastic mask parts of different sizes can be used to adapt the mask to the different face shapes and nose sizes of the users.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a flexible intermediate tube is provided between the elongated tube and the angle tube, which increases the comfort for the user. In this way, the angle tube is placed on the top of the head and completely removed from the face area of the user, which means easier handling of the respiratory mask, for example when connecting the ventilation tube to the angle tube. In addition, a further decoupling of the forces on the respiratory mask takes place in this way, since impacts, thrusts and the like on the respiratory tube are additionally absorbed by the flexible intermediate tube.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, closable connecting pieces are provided on the angled tube for supplying and / or withdrawing gas into and out of the breathing air flowing to the mask part. In this way, measurements can be made in the ventilation air or additives can be introduced into the ventilation air, such as anesthetic gases, without additional interfering lines having to be arranged in the face area of the patient / user.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, a distance adjustment device between the front shield and the elongated tube for adjusting the Distance from the front shield to the mask part is provided. As a result, the respiratory mask can be easily adjusted to different forehead / nose anatomies, which also increases the wearing comfort for the user. Advantageously, the front shield holder can serve as a distance adjustment device in that arms rotatably fastened to the elongated tube can be detachably latched into fastening openings provided on the rear of the front shield holder. To adjust the distance, the arms must be released from a grid position on the front shield holder and fastened again in another grid position when the angle formed between the arms is adjusted. The arms can be attached via expandable clips to a sleeve that is vertically displaceably attached to the elongated tube, which enables the rotatable (between clips and sleeve) and the displaceability (between sleeve and elongated tube) of the end shield, possibly by overcoming different frictional resistances.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, an end pad is provided on the side of the end shield facing the user, the end pad being fastened by barbed knobs in openings in the end shield. The forehead pad increases the comfort of the user, is easy to assemble and is also easy to replace, e.g. for reasons of hygiene, if the respiratory mask is to be used with a new user. The barbs of the knobs serve as a protection against loss so that the stimulation pad cannot unintentionally detach from the front shield.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, eyelets are provided on the mask part for fastening an additional belt strap, which can advantageously be fastened below the ears on the user's head. The respiratory mask is thus additionally secured against unintentional slipping. From the point of view of the user, the eyelets can be arranged so as to extend obliquely upwards, as a result of which the webbing comes to lie smoothly against the head of the user and does not cut uncomfortably to the side. The oblique arrangement of the Eyelets enable the additional webbing to be guided efficiently, the latter ensuring that the mask part lies evenly on the user's face.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the breathing tube has a ribbed surface on its outside and a smooth surface on its inside. As a result, the breathing tube is designed to be flexible on the one hand, but on the other hand it is secured against being pressed off and being accidentally squeezed together. The flexural elasticity is therefore important so that breakage and the occurrence of cracks is prevented even when the ventilation hose is used repeatedly. The inside of the ventilation hose has a smooth surface, which ensures an unimpeded flow of ventilation air because turbulence within the air flow is largely prevented. According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the intermediate tube also has a ribbed surface on its outside and a smooth surface on its inside. Here the advantages described above apply accordingly.
According to an advantageous embodiment of the invention, a tube for use in medical devices and in particular for use in respiratory masks is provided, which is made of a flexible material and has a ribbed surface on the outside and a smooth surface on the inside. The advantages of the hose are increased bending elasticity compared to known gas-flowed hoses and a longer service life of the hose according to the invention. Even repeated twisting and bending of the hose does not lead to cracks or breaks, which ensures a long-term and leak-free gas flow, which is extremely important for undisturbed medical or therapeutic treatment. In addition, the gases flow through the hose without turbulence, thereby Pressure losses can be avoided and more targeted treatment and, in particular, ventilation is possible.
According to a further advantageous embodiment of the invention, the hose consists of silicone. Silicone has the necessary flexural elasticity and is easy to shape, which enables the cost-effective production of hoses according to the invention. A hose from the company Silicontechnik Merz GmbH is advantageously used, further information on the details of the hose being available there.
Further advantages and advantageous embodiments of the invention can be found in the following description, the drawing and the claims.

Das flexible Maskenteil 1 ist lösbar mit einem Maskenhalteteil 2 verbunden.5 shows an oblique view from behind of the respiratory mask according to FIG. 4. The first embodiment of a nasal respiratory mask shown in FIG. 1 consists of a flexible mask part 1 for adapting the respiratory mask to the patient's anatomy. The flexible mask part 1 is detachably connected to a mask holding part 2.
An elongated tube 3, which is arranged vertically, is attached to the mask holding part 2.
An angled tube 6 is located at the upper end of the tube 3. The angled tube 6, designed as a knee tube, is designed to be radially rotatable against the elongated tube 3. At the free end of the horizontal part of the angle tube 6 there is a hose connection 9 for a ventilation hose, not shown. This hose connection 9 can be rotated axially around the horizontal part of the angle tube 6 for an additional increase in freedom of movement.
A faceplate holder 4 is slidably mounted on the elongated tube 3 between stops of the mask holding part 2 and the vertical part of the angle tube 6. In Fig. 1, the position of the end shield holder 4 on the upper stop formed by the end edge of the vertical part of the angle tube 6 is shown. This results in the maximum vertical distance between the mask part 1 and a unit formed by a front shield 5 and a webbing 7. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the end shield holder 4 is firmly connected to the end shield 5.
The positioning and fixing of the front shield holder 4 on the elongated tube 3 is carried out here by friction clamping. The length of the webbing 7 is fastened to the front shield 5 by means of eyelets 12 and 13. In addition to the webbing 7, a webbing 8 is also fastened in an eyelet 14 on the top of the front shield 5, which is guided over the head for more stable mounting of the nasal respiratory mask and is connected to the webbing 7 at the back of the head. In the exemplary embodiment shown, the belt straps consist of an elastic material.
The nasal ventilation mask is positioned by pulling the unit over the user's head. The optimal distance between the front shield 5 with the webbing 7 and the mask part 1 resulting from the anatomy of the user is adjusted by moving the front shield holder 4 on the elongated tube 3. In addition, by adjusting the webbing 7 and the additional webbing 8 by means of the eyelets 12 to 14, the holder of the respiratory mask is adapted to the shape of the head of the user and by tightening the webbing to different extents, the desired fastening of the respiratory mask is also carried out. The ventilation hose is connected via the hose connection 9.
Die Positionierung und Fixierung der Stimschildaufiiahme auf dem länglichen Rohr 3 erfolgt durch Reibklemmung.FIG. 2 shows the respiratory mask according to FIG. 1, the difference in the vertical position of the front shield holder 4 and thus also of the front shield 5 with the webbing 7 relative to the mask part 1. Here, the faceplate recording is located on the lower stop formed by the upper edge of the mask holding part 2. The positioning and fixation of the face plate holder on the elongated tube 3 is carried out by friction clamping.
Somit sind das Maskenteil 1 und das Maskenhalteteil 2 in der gezeigten Weise mechanisch stabil und luftdicht miteinander verbunden.FIG. 3 shows a side view of the respiratory mask according to FIG. 1, the region of the attachment of the mask part 1 to the mask holding part 2 being shown partly in section. The mask part 1 is connected to the mask holding part 2 in such a way that an annular bead 10 is formed in the mask part 1, which is made of elastic material and is pressed into an annular recess 11 of the mask holding part. Thus, the mask part 1 and the mask holding part 2 are mechanically stable and airtight in the manner shown.
FIG. 4 and FIG. 5 show a second embodiment of a nasal ventilation mask with an intermediate tube 16 and a ventilation tube 15 connected to the angle tube 6. The same parts are referred to below with the same reference numerals. The intermediate tube 16 and the breathing tube 15 are designed to be flexible and have a ribbed outer surface and a smooth inner surface, not shown in the drawing. The fact that the intermediate tube 16 and the ventilation tube 15 are designed to be elastic prevents an inadvertent kinking of the tubes. Any impacts and transverse forces on the mask part 1 are additionally absorbed in this way. On the angle tube 6, closable connecting pieces 17 are arranged for taking gas or supplying gas into or out of the ventilation air, for example for medical measurements or the admixture of anesthetic gas. The end shield 5 is axially displaceable on the elongated tube 3 and is arranged such that it can be rotated radially around the tube 3. The distance between the elongated tube 3 and the end shield 5 can be changed via a distance adjustment device 18. In this embodiment, the end plate holder 4 is also designed as a distance adjusting device 18 and comprises arms 19 which are rotatably fastened to the elongated tube 3 and which can be latched into fastening openings 20 on the rear side of the end plate 5. The different angular positions of the arms 19 relative to one another thus cause a change in the distance between the elongated tube 3 and the end shield 5 to adapt the respiratory mask to the specific forehead-nose anatomy of a user. The arms 19 are rotatably connected via a C-shaped and expandable clips 21 to a sleeve 22 mounted on the vertical tube 3. The sleeve 22 is in turn on the Pipe 3 fastened vertically. On the side of the end shield 5 facing the user, stimulation pads 23 are detachably fastened by means of knobs 24 with barbs. The stimulation pads 23 can thus be easily replaced if necessary. The barbs of the knobs 24 prevent the stimulation pads 23 from being lost. On the mask holding part 2, eyelets 25 are provided for fastening an additional webbing (not shown in the drawing), this webbing being attached below the ears of a user. The eyelets 25 on the mask holding part 2 are arranged obliquely upwards in this exemplary embodiment for better guidance of the webbing on the head of the user.
