Abstract

A workstation (11) is disclosed which includes a vertical column (19) adapted to be supported on a floor; a height adjustment mechanism (21, 23) adapted to travel up and down the height of the column and to be fixed at desired heights; and a horizontal worksurface (17) having a rear edge and a front edge, the worksurface (17) attached to the height adjustment mechanism (21, 23) so that the column is adjacent a point generally midway along the rear edge of the worksurface. The workstation (11) preferably includes a counterbalance system (127).
