L'application de l'invention 'Enregistrement des dates en six chiffres jusqu'au 31/C/z99' permettra aux fabricants d'ordinateurs du monde entier d'économiser un total d'environ cinq cents milliards de dollars selon les experts. Les avantages de cette invention peuvent concerner tous les fabricants d'ordinateurs de n'importe quelle génération et de n'importe quel modèle utilisant n'importe quel langage ou n'importe quelle table. Le Gartner Group, l'une des sociétés les plus connues de consultants et de recherche en technologies d'Amérique du Nord, estime que la solution du problème pour le monde entier coûtera environ 2,8 billions de dollars si l'on prend en considération le coût de 1,10 dollar par ligne de code corrigée. Le Gartner Group conclut également que la moitié des sociétés du monde entier ne seront pas en mesure d'achever leurs projets avant la date limite (tiré du 'Jornal da Caixa', novembre 1997).
