  • a fuse having a short circuit rupture capability to BS 88 is fitted in series with the live connection between the Mains Connection Part of the Power Tap and the RF Coupling Part. This fuse is located as close as possible to the incoming live terminal.
  • a bi-directional voltage breakdown circuit is fitted in the secondary circuit. This protects against transient voltages that appear between across the output of the transformer (differential mode).

Abstract

La présente invention porte sur un circuit de coupleur de signaux de ligne d'alimentation électrique qui comprend une section de connexion sur secteur, une section de couplage et une section de connexion de données, cette dernière comprenant un organe limiteur de surtension agencé de façon à supprimer les phénomènes transitoires provenant de la section de connexion sur secteur. La présente invention porte également sur un boîtier amélioré de coupleur de signaux et sur son procédé d'installation. Ce boîtier se caractérise en ce qu'il peut se séparer en deux parties: la première partie (509) comprenant les connecteurs (300, 301) de l'alimentation sur secteur et les dispositifs de serrage (503, 503A) des câbles; la seconde partie (401) comprenant la section coupleur (402) et le connecteur (206) de données. Cette seconde partie peut être remplacée par un couvercle de suppression et permet l'installation ultérieure de la partie coupleur de signaux.
