Abstract

A method of providing information to mobile users (fig. 4) is provided in which a network of smart cards (6) containing information associated with the location (7) of the smart cards is provided and mobile users are provided with a monitor (fig. 5) for retrieving and displaying information (12) stored on the smart cards (6).
