Abstract

The 'mermaid' toothbrush is designed to allow more efficient cleaning of the parts of which the mouth is comprised, especially the tongue, and prevent any risk of mucosal trauma. Said toothbrush includes a cleaning head, a handle to which a tongue-brushing device is fitted which ressembles a 'mermaid tail', the larger part of which is provided with a T-shaped cleaning member, with one peaky end while the other end is provided with hair. Stiff hair of various shapes are planted in the toothbrush head by various known methods. The stiff hair tension diminishes regularly from their base to their free end. The 'mermaid' toothbrush is provided with a holding foot in the form of a truncated cone with a slot, on the bottom of which is fitted an adhesive-type fixative. Said toothbrush may also have a container on which is mounted a feeder with a tongue-cleaning device secured therein.
