Abstract
Description
The invention relates to a device for flushing gas and oil wells in underground mining equipment, in which the wells have been piped with a pre-perforated liner, comprising a flushing nozzle with a plurality of aligned nozzles, a nozzle body, at the front end of which the flushing nozzle and at the rear end of which a detergent line that can be inserted into the bore is arranged, the detergent line being connected to a source of detergent under hydraulic pressure.
In horizontal gas and oil wells, for reasons of rock stability and to ensure the long-term accessibility of the horizontal line with detergent line (coiled tubing, endless pipe) or rods, the support is usually piped with a liner that is perforated before installation and is not cemented.
There is often a need for a wash treatment to clean the formation behind the liner to improve the productivity of the well. For this purpose, a flushing nozzle on a detergent line (coiled tubing) is inserted through the existing underground conveyor equipment; The largest possible outside diameter of the flushing nozzle is limited by restrictions in the underground equipment (underground safety valve, packer, landing nipple profiles), which have a significantly smaller inside diameter than the end piping. The flow cross-section of the flushing can and the inner diameter of the liner remain correspondingly large. Most of the treatment liquid flows therefore back inside the annulus between the flushing can / coiled tubing and the hole liner and does not come into contact with the borehole wall behind the liner. Adequate cleaning of the borehole wall can therefore not be guaranteed.
A method for directionally applying high pressure jets to well casing to clean openings in the casing, liner and the adjacent geologic formation which are plugged with foreign matter is known from US Patent 5 060 725. High velocity jets of liquid are used to remove plugging material rom the openings . Power swivels per it rotation and Kelly hoses allow reciprocation of the jet tool and tubing string while maintaining high pressure in the apparatus .A method for directionally applying high pressure jets to well casing to clean openings in the casing, liner and the adjacent geologic formation which are plugged with foreign matter is known from US Patent 5,060,725. Furthermore a tool for washing perforations in a casing set in a well bore is known form US Patent 3 760 878. It includes a cylindrical housing having an upper port, and a lower port. The housing is connected to the lower end of a string of tubing hung from the well bore. The housing has various packers and passages so that cleaning fluid circulated down the annulus between the tubing string and casing flows in through the first port and out the second port through perforations at the same level as the second port. The cleaning fluid return through lower perforations in the casing carrying sand or other plugging material with it and is returned up the tubing string.Furthermore, a tool for washing perforations in a casing set in a well bore is known form US Patent 3,760,878. In the past, the course of the liquid flow behind the liner, which could not be influenced, meant that a larger liquid volume than was required purely by calculation had to be pumped. It was not even certain whether the washing liquid even reached the borehole wall and served the intended purpose. It is also known to provide an annular expandable part which is attached to the nozzle body in a device of the type mentioned at the outset. If this body is under sufficiently high internal pressure, it can lie on the wall of the borehole or liner with the correct dimensions and create a desired seal for the washing liquid. The disadvantage of this embodiment, however, is that the nozzle body and thus the nozzles cannot be moved while the washing liquid is being pumped in, and that the ring is exposed to extremely high wear.
The object of the invention is, on the one hand, to ensure in a device of the type mentioned at the outset that the washing liquid actually reaches the intended areas and that the nozzle body can be moved in both directions during the introduction of the washing liquid.
This is achieved by the features specified in the characterizing parts of the claims.
The system will be explained using the example of the flushing nozzle according to the invention. After hydraulically increasing the outside diameter of the flushing nozzle, the flow cross-section between the flushing nozzle and the inside diameter of the hole liner is significantly reduced during the pumping process, in order to bring about a forced deflection of the treatment liquid into the ring liner / hole wall. During installation, the diameter of the device is adapted to the specified restrictions in the completion. When the treatment liquid is pumped in on site, spring-like six slats or metal segments (diverters) open from a certain pumping rate, which reduce the flow cross-section in the annular space between the flushing nozzle and the liner and the forced deflection of the Cause liquid flow behind the liner. After reducing the pumping rate, the segments go back to the original outer diameter and the device can be removed due to the restrictions. Since the divers are made of metal, they are not subject to any significant wear; “Activating the diverters can therefore be repeated any number of times by changing the pumping rate. The device can also be operated while pumping, as it is not fixed in the liner despite the activated diverter.
With the aid of the device according to the invention, it is possible to work with a relatively small volume of the washing liquid, so that the degree of cleaning is significantly improved, and so is the working time associated therewith.
The invention is explained below with reference to the drawing, for example.
Fig. 1 zeigt eine Vorrichtung gemäß der Erfindung in Schnittansicht, wobei die Lamellen in der einge- fahreren Position gezeigt sind.1 shows a device according to the invention in a sectional view, the slats being shown in the retracted position.
Fig. 2 shows the corresponding representation with the slats extended.
In the figure, a nozzle body lϊ is shown, at the upper end of a screw 12 is attached, which in turn is connected to the detergent or dishwasher line, not shown. At the lower, the front end of the nozzle body 11 there is a nozzle head 10 with a plurality of aligned nozzles.
With the help of the parts described above, washing liquid can be fed via a pressure medium source via the detergent line and via the screw connection 12 into the interior of the Nozzle body 11 are guided under sufficiently high pressure so that the detergent emerges from the nozzles of the nozzle body 10.
However, further parts are provided on the nozzle body according to the invention, namely a total of six fins distributed over the circumference, only two of which are shown in FIGS. 1 and 2 and which have reference numbers 13 there. These lamellae 13 are attached to a basket 15 in such a way that they want to assume an outwardly spread position, such as that shown in FIG. However, the slats cannot assume this position in the operating position according to FIG. 1 because they are surrounded by a sleeve 14. The sleeve can be moved back and forth on the nozzle body 11 and is conically equipped at its free end on the inside, so that, with a relatively small outside diameter, the fins 13 assume the position shown in FIG. 1, in which the device can be inserted into the borehole , regardless of any restrictions in the borehole. The sleeve 14 is arranged via two seals on the nozzle body 11 such that detergent can also act on a part projecting in the opposite direction, which can best be seen in FIG. 2, via a transverse bore from the interior of the nozzle body 11. In this position, the washing liquid exerts a force on the sleeve 14, so that the sleeve 14 changes from the position shown in FIG. 1 to the position shown in FIG. 2. As a result of the axial displacement, the lamellae 13 can spread outwards and, as shown in FIG. 2, lie against the inner wall of the borehole or the liner. In this way, the desired barrier of the space behind the nozzle body is created, so that the emerging washing and rinsing liquid enters the space in front of the nozzle body, but practically not in the space behind the nozzle body. So that the sleeve 14 can assume the position shown in FIG. 1 again after the end of the flushing process, a spiral 16 is provided on the nozzle body 11, which ensures that the sleeve 14 is in the forward-facing position, as shown in FIG. 1 , occupies. In the position shown in FIG. 2, however, the pressure of the washing liquid is so high that the sleeve 14 moves back against the force of the spring and compresses the spring. If the detergent pressure then decreases again, the spring 16 can return the sleeve to the position shown in FIG. 1.
It is within the scope of the present invention to use other means for the movement of the slats 13 and the sleeve 14 than the hydraulic pressure of the washing liquid.
