Abstract

Procédé pour la modification de la réfringence d'un oeil, consistant à choisir une correction dioptrique pour un oeil, sans compromis lié à la baisse de réfringence due à une réaction biologique découlant d'un changement du profil cornéen, puis à modifier le profil de la cornée de l'oeil considéré pour amener la réfringence de cet oeil à la dioptrie voulue (par exemple, au laser ou sur intervention chirurgicale) et, enfin, à limiter la régression du profil cornéen (due aux réactions biologiques parasites) environ à la dioptrie retenue en appliquant à la cornée une composition renfermant un agent capable de maîtriser la réaction biologique. L'agent peut être un anti-inflammatoire stéroïde ou non stéroïde ou bien un constituant de la membrane basale. L'objectif de la modification de réfringence est d'induire l'emmétropie. Le procédé décrit permet de corriger les troubles de réfringence/d'accommodation, comme la myopie, l'hyperopie, l'(a)stigmatisme, etc.
