Definitions
- the emission of radio frequency electromagnetic radiation by mobile phones that are held directly to the human ear represents a serious marketing obstacle for mobile phones because many potential users of mobile phones are still concerned about serious medical impairments from this electromagnetic radiation.
- the present invention is therefore based on the object of specifying a mobile telephone in which these presumably medically negative influences due to electromagnetic radiation directly at the user's ear are excluded or at least very largely reduced. This object is achieved according to the present invention by a mobile phone with features according to claim 1 or by a device for acoustic reproduction of speech signals on the human ear with features according to claim 2.
- the invention provides for a separation of the means for acoustic reproduction of voice signals already present in every conventional mobile phone from the other devices of the mobile phone, in particular from the devices for radiating high-frequency electromagnetic radiation.
- the present invention provides means for the wireless transmission of voice signals from a mobile phone to a device for the acoustic reproduction of these voice signals on the human ear.
- the invention achieves a significant reduction in the effects of electromagnetic radiation from mobile telephones on the user's head because the high-frequency transmitter of the mobile telephone is no longer operated directly on the user's head must be, but can be worn at a greater distance from the head, for example on the wrist of the user.
- FIG. 1 schematically shows a mobile telephone and a device for acoustic reproduction of speech signals on the human ear according to a preferred embodiment of the present invention.
- Fig. 2 shows schematically an advantageous embodiment of the device for acoustic reproduction of voice signals on the human ear.
- Radiation used antenna is arranged in the immediate vicinity of the speaker.
- the immediate spatial proximity of the parts used to emit high-frequency radiation to the human head, in particular to the human ear must be accepted.
- the presumed or proven medical disadvantages associated with this design can be effectively avoided with the aid of the present invention.
- the invention provides for the spatial separation of the acoustic reproduction unit and the rest of the mobile telephone, in particular the device for emitting high-frequency radiation.
- the device for acoustic reproduction of the speech signals is installed in the immediate vicinity of the user's ear.
- the actual mobile phone can then be worn on the user's wrist or belt, for example.
- the invention further provides that the voice signals received by the mobile phone are sent to the device for acoustic reproduction of these voice signals (it can of course also be music signals) are transmitted wirelessly by the mobile phone.
- the infrared transmitter is integrated in the main unit, i.e. in the mobile phone.
- the infrared receiver is integrated into the device for the acoustic reproduction of speech signals on the human ear.
- the infrared receiver can also be connected to the device on the human ear by a short connection, for example by a plastic fiber or by a thin cable.
- a short connection for example by a plastic fiber or by a thin cable.
- it can be implemented, for example, in a visually appealing manner as an ear plug or generally as a piece of jewelry on the ear.
- an infrared connection there is the disadvantage that between the mobile telephone (master unit) and the infrared receiver should be a direct detoxverbin ⁇ dung possible. This disadvantage can be expected of the user conces- because, compared with the constant holding a receiver or a mobile phone at the ear, is vernach ⁇ understandbar.
- Another possibility of realizing the wireless connection between the mobile phone and the device at the ear is by radio transmission of the acoustic signals from the mobile phone to the device at the ear.
- This transmission can be analog, e.g. according to the CT1 standard, or digital, e.g. according to the DECT standard. Due to the short distance to be bridged between the mobile phone (main unit) and the device at the ear, the transmission power can be considerably reduced compared to the transmission power currently used with cordless terminals.
- the present invention can also be implemented with a hearing aid, which must be provided with a corresponding device for receiving the wirelessly transmitted signals of the mobile radio device.
- a hearing aid wearer can use a mobile phone much more easily than today without the acoustic reception being impaired by a booming hum caused by the influence on the hearing aid by the mobile phone.
- the hearing aid can also be located in the mobile phone.
- the microphone already present in the mobile phone can be used as the microphone of the hearing aid.
- other circuit parts of the mobile telephone that are present anyway can be used to implement the signal processing functionalities of the hearing aid.
- the acoustic reproduction unit of the hearing aid With this solution, however, it can be found outside the cell phone, directly at the user's ear.
- the device for reproducing acoustic signals on the human ear can preferably be implemented using an earplug, as is customary, for example, for setting up conventional hearing aids.
- This earplug is only to be equipped with a receiver for the acoustic signals transmitted wirelessly by the mobile phone.
- the configuration of the device for reproducing acoustic signals as a headset is particularly advantageous.
- a microphone is provided as part of the device, the voice signals recorded by the latter being transmitted wirelessly to the mobile phone.
- the present invention is of particular use because it enables the use of such mobile telephones to be carried on the arm in a really comfortable way.
- the present invention in any case has the advantage of a greatly reduced energy consumption, as a result of which the life of the battery to be provided in the cell phone is considerably extended.
