Abstract

The invention concerns a seating arrangement (10) comprising an element (26, 27) which can be pivoted between a position which extends the seating arrangement and a position which increases the depth of a sitting surface (23, 24), the element (26, 27) being mounted at the free end (31) of a cantilevered arm (32, 33) whose other end is articulated so as to pivot about a pin (37, 38). The pivot pin (37, 38) of the cantilevered arm (32, 33) lies approximately in the geometric centre point of the seating surface (23, 24), and the pivotable element (26, 27) can be displaced in a reciprocating manner with respect to the cantilevered arm (32, 33) in the longitudinal direction thereof.
