Abstract
Système de contrôle amélioré servant à contrôler un système de transmission par fibre optique au moyen d'effets locaux optiques. Ce système de contrôle comprend un équipement de contrôle de ligne (LME) (12) relié à une partie d'un système de transmission optique. Cet équipement de contrôle de ligne (LME) comprend un générateur (14) de séquence pseudo-aléatoire (PRS) servant à générer une tonalité PRS, un émetteur laser (16) servant à émettre un effet local optique de LME basé sur la tonalité PRS. Le LME comprend un système de retard (20) servant à retarder les tonalités PRS, un filtre optique (26) servant à transmettre seulement la longueur d'onde de l'effet local de LME. Une pluralité de voies de données est transmise par l'intermédiaire du système au moyen d'un multiplexage par division de longueurs d'ondes (WDM). On utilise un coupleur afin de combiner les données de WDM avec l'effet local de LME. Un répéteur (36) possédant un coupleur optique (42) de contrôle par retour retourne une partie du signal combiné à LME. Le comparateur/corrélateur (22) met en corrélation les tonalités PRS retardées avec l'effet local de LME retourné par chaque répéteur.
