Abstract

An adhesive system (80) for use with a flap (52) of a cylindrical pipe insulation segment (10). The adhesive system (80) includes a film of a heat sealable adhesive bonded to a layer of a pressure sensitive adhesive which in turn rests on a sheet of release paper (81) coated with a silicon-based release coating.
