Abstract

An interactive telecommunications service in which voiced messages are sent to a user via telephony network in order to solicit responses from the user. In one embodiment, an interactive telecommunications ordering service is provided in which products from a catalogue can be ordered by DTMF tone entry at a user terminal. The interactive service calculates accounting details for each order and generates an invoice during the course of a call. In another embodiment, an interactive telecommunications payroll service is provided in which taxes due are calculated and wage slips are generated during a call for transmission to the user.
