Abstract

A windscreen wiper blade for a motor vehicle comprises two wiping portions (7 and 8). The first wiping portion (8) is mounted on a first wiper arm piece (5), which is of fixed length and mounted directly onto the wiper drive shaft (10), whereas the second wiping portion (7) is mounted on the second wiper arm piece (6), which slides telescopically on the first wiper arm piece (5). A cam follower (2) is attached to the second, telescopic arm piece (6), and engages a cam surface (1) which is fixed relative to the vehicle body. As the wiper arm assembly is driven in an oscillating fashion about its drive axis (10), the cam follower (2) follows the cam surface (1) causing the telescopic part of the wiper arm (6) to extend and retract, producing an expanded wiped area.

Description

WINDSCREEN GLASS WIPER WITH ADJUSTED DIRECTION OF MOVEMENT
Windscreen glass wiper with adjusted direction of movement
1. Field of the technic concerning the invention
"Windscreen glass wiper with adjusted direction of movement" is invention in the field of traffic means. It is useful to motor vehicles, airplanes and ships as device to enable higher degree of wiping from the control desk. Acording to international classification the object of invention is marked with the code B 60 S 1.
2. Technical problem which is solved by the invention
Technical problem which is solved with this invention is made of: how to maximise the degree of wiping of windscreen glass of the vehicle. Defined technical problem is solved with offered solutions which surround this invention.
3. Condition of the technic
On the existing technical solutions on windscreen glass wipers there is no solution on wiper that wipes 100% windscreen glass and other glass surfaces. 4. Solution of the technical problem
Constructional solution of the wiper according to this invevtion is made of device which in advance determines the path of movement of the windscreen glass wipers, in other words, with this device is defined direction cource and deirection of movement of the wiper. Then, this combined movement is transfered from the device to the handle with variable length. The invention will be explained through two drawings. As for now, rubber parts of the wipers (7 and 8) he over windscreen glass and with their movement water and snow are being removed from the glass. Wipers are being moved by an electric motor (10), which has alternately circular motion, and is transmited by the handles of the wiper. The invention is composed of that alternately circular motion from the electric motor (10) through special pattern (1) by which is defined direction course and direction of movement of the wiper and system of handles (5 and 6), is transformed into combined movement which is transmited to the wiper (7). Definition of direction cource and direction of movement of the wiper is realized through pattern (1) on which is projected a canal or surface through which runs conductor (2). Canal (surface) is projected and made depending on dimentions of windscreen glass. The invention is also composed from the handles of the wipers that draw one into another, and can be elongated or drawn in.
On drawing 1 is presented technical solution of the invention with use of spring (3) and on drawing 2 is presented technical solution without spring. The essence on both drawing is to transform the alternately circular motion into combined movement, which is going to be defined from the pattern, that is hollowed canal or surface on the pattern.
Drawing 1: The pattern (1) is firmly attached to the body of the vehicle through the part (9). It is immovable. On it's bottom is defined curve of movement on which the conductor (2) is moving. The conductor is unilateraly touching defined surface of movement. The spring (3) which is attached to the conductor (2) and holder (4) designed on the handle itself, has a purpose to push conductor (2) all the time to the edge of the defined carrier (5) in which part lies the spring, is projected to enable straightline movement of the spring that is doesn't allow to bend. Handle carrier (5) has alternately circular movement which gains from the electric motor (10). This movement is like up to now clasical wipers. Handle carrier (5) is draw in into handle (6) of the wiper (7). The conducter (2) is attached to the handle (6) of the wiper (7). As the conductor (2) is moving the handle (6) likewise is being elongated or gathered, and wiper (7) is being elongated or drawn in. Then handle (6) at same time has two movements: alternately circular motion which gains from the electric motor (10) through handle carrier (5) and straightline movement elongating and drawing in, which gains from the pattern (1) through the conductor. In this manner is realized combined movement which is needed to cover larger surface of the windscreen glass. To cover that part of the windscreen glass which was not covered by the wiper (7), is used wiper (8) which is attached to the handle carrier (5). The wiper (8) is connected like the clasical known wiper and has alternately circular motion which gains from the electric motor (10) through handle carrier (5). In case is needed combined movement to the wiper (8) pattern can be used, so both wipers can have pattern at same time. On drawing 2 is presented a technical solution with which is ganed same combined movement as to drawing 1 with difference that here spring (3) is not used. The function of the spring (3) here is changed with the pattern (1) which is touching both sides of the conductor (2). In this manner, conductor (2) is moving as the canal is hollowed that is defmed curve of movement. This movement of the conductor (2) is transmited to the handle (6) and to the wiper (7) as it is explained on drawing 1.
