Abstract

Un connecteur à fibres optiques à mettre en contact avec l'extrémité d'un câble à fibres optiques (12) comprend un élément de connexion interne (24) qui entre mécaniquement et par frottement en contact avec une partie en fibres optiques du câble à fibres optiques (12). Le connecteur comprend également un élément de connexion externe (28) monté mécaniquement et par frottement sur la fibre optique. L'épissure du connecteur à fibres optiques servant à l'interconnexion alignée de deux connecteurs à fibres optiques comprend une première partie de gaine d'alignement pour aligner des premières parties des connecteurs à fibres optiques, et une deuxième partie de gaine d'alignement pour aligner des secondes parties des connecteurs à fibres optiques. Les deux parties de gaine peuvent faire partie intégrante d'une seule gaine d'alignement.
