The toothed belt 50 is a linear belt, the two ends of which are fixed to a profile 56 integral with the movable support 36 and passing over the control shaft 52 and the driven pulley 54. The control shaft 52 is driven by a motor, not shown, making it possible to know exactly the angular position of the control shaft 52 and therefore of the support 36 and of the punch 6 The displacement of the support 36 not only makes it possible to pass the punching tool from a working position (FIG. 1) to a maintenance position (FIG. 4), but it also makes it possible to perform punching at different distances from the edge of a sheet, without moving it.

It goes without saying that the invention is not limited to the embodiments of a punching tool described above by way of nonlimiting examples; on the contrary, it embraces all its variants.
